Exceptional property, stunning location, great host

Gorgeous property done out to a really high standard. Quirky and unique in terms of layout, oodles of character and lots of lovely little personal touches throughout! Excellent location with stunning views. Mark got the balance right in terms of communication (not too much, not too little, responsive when contacted). Overall we had a great time and loved The Old Court House & Jail.

Stunning property, beautifully decorated and real history, spacious and the views are to die for, great location for all the things we wanted to do. Marks communication was a amazing, a gentleman

The hot water is dangerously hot, especially for a young child, a warning sign might help, then possibly some simple how to use laminates for the cooker, hot tub etc, parking spaces can be sporadic, but nothing to detract majorly from our stay

Amazing accommodation with everything we needed

This place has everything we needed other than a missing iron. It was huge so our group of 6 never felt like we were on top of each other. It is really well equipped with loads of personal touches so it felt like home. It’s really comfortable with loads of seating for a group. The communication was exceptional and we gained our deposit back the next day.

We had a great weekend and could not have stayed anywhere better.

Wonderful location overlooking the Menai Straits. Near to lots of cafes, shops and pubs as well as walks and easy access to the rest of Anglesey. The house is really spacious and has everything you need for your stay. The hot tub is large and not overlooked. We loved playing pool and there is a huge TV screen if you need it. The host, Mark, was really helpful and friendly. He gave us lots of ideas of places to explore and was available for any questions we had.

Everything was really good in the house although one tiny thing was there are only 5 dining chairs and we were 7 people but we made do with garden chairs.

Superb

Location is great, surrounded by easily accessible sightseeing. There is a big supermarket a few minutes walk away. The property has everything required to have a fantastic family holiday. It has a lot of character, wonderful view and all the creature comforts you could ask for. The host was incredibly helpful. You need to pay a security bond a week before arrival. This was paid back a day later Once the property was checked. Amazing three days to celebrate our sons graduation. My two children streamed the whole ceremony on the massive tv in the living room.

Amazing house. Huge wow-factor as soon as you walk in. The house is packed full of features, set in a beautiful location. The security deposit was refunded the day after in full with no issues at all. The owner is a pleasure to deal with.

Everything was great, the house was really clean, furnished/decorated to a very high standard and Mark was a great host. I came for the weekend with some friends to hike up Mt. Snowdon, and we couldn't have found a better place to kick back and relax post-hike, couldn't recommend this place highly enough. Would happily stay here again

Superb

The house is clean, comfortable and well-equipped. It is an interesting historical property and definitely not cookie-cutter. Mark contacted us ahead to ask our preferences for a breakfast basket, and that was very welcome after a long flight and drive on to Anglesley. The location is terrific just across the road from the Menai Strait, very near the suspension bridge and walking distance to both a supermarket and some very good restaurants. Our kids also enjoyed the pool table.

Great Family Home

Property is very impressive, views over looking the river, quite road and the property is very suitable for a family of six ... great sized rooms, plenty of entertainment to keep ALL families busy. 5 min walk to high-street or to super market, local take-away parlours all offering good foods.

Parking could be a problem but we never struggled as if outside the property is busy, then the side-road is close enough.

the place was amazing we really enjoyed our stay - the landlord treated us like family - I can not express how amazing he was n how he made sure all our needs was met. thank you Mark! you was superb host! and the place AMAZING!!! The bedroom in the basement area was a little cold and dark and felt a little damp but I appreciate it’s an old property. I also note it’s marketed as sleeping 6 plus 2 extra (sofa beds) so can’t complain as we had 7 and it turned out there were 4 bedrooms. The bedroom in question had a separate heater which helped. It’s not a criticism as I think any old property with a basement would be the same but it was the only thing I thought could be improved.

You get what you pay for.

The Old Bailey boasted one of the best family "living spaces" we've ever stayed in, irrespective of price point - the main lounge / kitchen area with the old courthouse viewing gallery above them (now boasting the pool table) is the hub of the home and we absolutely loved it. Furninshings and overall spec were also top notch, as you'd expect for the price - I got caught out by the viewing flap in the downstairs toilet door, which was a former cell....much to the amusement of my observant kids! The master bedroom bed was another feature we wished we could have taken home with us....so big and comfy!

Great views, comfortable beds, walking distance of pubs, restaurants and a supermarket; boys loved playing pool.

Some essentials missing like an indoor clothes drier, brush and dustpan for the kitchen and some of the dishes had been put away very dirty ( prior occupants probably to blame for this but made for an unpleasant experience a couple of times).
