Everything. It combined modern comfort with authentic Turkish-ness, and the helpfulness/attention to detail that comes with a private, owner-operated hotel.
So in terms of comfort: very large, modern, newly fitted and pristine room with extremely comfortable bed, different sizes of pillow and nice bed linen, comfy chair, sliding full length window with outdoor area (I was on ground floor) and full mosquito screen, good supply of lights/lighting and electrical sockets, aircon, tv, fridge, kettle and tea/coffee making facilities; big shower and basin in bathroom, lots of proper towels, underfloor heating or pipes! (Room 108)
I also liked the complimentary water machines in the foyer outside my room, that the hotel personnel seemed to be family members (and cared..) and the perfectly lovely and authentically Turkish complimentary breakfast that was served (from 7am, so that I had time to enjoy it before leaving for the airport at 8..), which consisted of: a freshly hard-boiled (hot) egg, two types of cheese, some sliced tomato and cucumber, a generous portion of very good home-produced black and green olives, some sweet slices of orange, home made jam, honey, butter and a big basket of fresh crusty bread, and a traditional curvy glass of black tea. It was the perfect farewell to Turkey!!
The location was also very good. I came by train to Gaziemir, which is a sizeable town with all possible facilities. I ended up simply taking a taxi to the hotel from there, which was only 175 TL. My taxi to the airport in the morning was 260 TL in heavy rush-hour traffic and took 15 mins. It was a treat I could afford thanks to the very reasonable price (£40) paid for my night in the excellent Ofuro hotel.
Nothing. There was a bit of noise from other guests arriving later than me with excitable children (I went to bed very early) but that wasn't the fault of the hotel.

Ein solides Hotel, nicht weit vom Flughafen gelegen und daher gut geeignet für einen Aufenthalt nach der Ankunft oder vor dem Abflug. Das Personal ist ausgesprochen freundlich und hilfsbereit. Auch das Frühstück war - allerdings auf türkische und nicht auf kontinentale Art - ausreichend und schmackhaft.
Im Hotel gibt es ein Restaurant. Allerdings ist dies nicht unbedingt zu empfehlen, weil es eigentlich nur zwei Gerichte zur Auswahl gab: Huhn oder Lamm, die mit frischem Weißbrot serviert werden. Dazu konnte man noch einen Salat und Pommes Frites bestellen. Auch wenn das Lamm schmackhaft war, ist die Auswahl für ein "Restaurant" doch etwas dürftig.
Außerdem ist zu bemängeln, dass die Dusche weder am Abend noch morgens warmes Wasser lieferte. Das ist für ein Hotel, das angeblich 5 Sterne hat (woher?) einfach nur mangelhaft. Schade!

Place is very close to the airport, especially if you need a place just to spend the night. Really nice that it opens to the garden. Maybe it was the high season of building new buildings or anything else but it was very noisy (not talking about sound of planes, but all other). Breakfast was not included in the price, so can not comment on the food.
