It is centered between Highlands, Cashiers, and Franklin with easy access to Sylva & Western Carolina University. Cosmopolitan cities with international airports in Asheville, NC (75 miles), Knoxville,TN (145 miles), Atlanta,GA (140 miles), and Greenville, SC (75 miles). Major National Attractions; Cherokee Harrah's Casino, Great Smoky Mountain National Park, Blue Ridge Parkway, and Biltmore Estate. All you water lovers, you can enjoy Lake Glenville, which offers swimming and boating with two public boat ramps. Also numerous locations for white water rafting, kayaking, and river tubing. Land lovers will enjoy bicycling on challenging roads. Motorcyclists will enjoy the curvy, winding mountain roads plus riding the close by "Tail of The Dragon". For the Hiker, lots of trails including the Appalachian Trail. You can enjoy numerous scenic waterfalls with easy drivable access.

Overall, a great escape. Quiet, except for the occasional bullfrog. hahaha. The owners are onsite, and are extremely hospitable, friendly, and accommodating. They gave us some really good suggestions on where to go for what we were looking for. For example waterfalls and restaurants. So many nearby towns and so much to do. Their puppy is super-friendly and loves people. The bungalow is situated on top of a mountain and the view is beautiful. The temperature is absolutely perfect, as well. We were there at the beginning of July and did not have to turn the air conditioner on the entire time we were there. The owner has plants and flowers all around the site, creating a serene and lovely atmosphere.
