Saffron Villas

Good location. Privacy. Nice villa styling with interior decor. Well equipped kitchen and good size fridge / freezer. Nice staff.

It’s a 2 person villa so a second sun bed would be welcome, rather than just one sunbed. And being super critical a flexible hose hand shower would be great rather than just the fixed overhead shower (but shower water pressure and hot water were great) and a better large mirror. But these are minor points. Overall it was a very nice villa. Beware the thieving monkeys. We learnt the hard way to keep windows and doors closed.

The property is amazing and really well designed, wonderful pool. The staff is also incredibly helpful.

A few things make the management look cheap. The air con is set to max 4hrs which means you wake up in the middle of the night to turn it back on again. Being allowed to have the aircon on while we’re in the room would be kinder to guests. Moreover, it shows that no excessive expense is made- there is ONE mini packet of Nescafé in the kitchen so that no guest can have more than one- we didn’t want any but it felt very cheap.

We really enjoyed our stay at Saffron Villas. We stayed at Villa 2 with 2 bedrooms. We really liked that every villa has private pool and it‘s really cozy with all the plants on the compound. The staff is very nice and attentive in case of any issues. The location is great and only a short walk down to the beach with plenty of restaurants in walking distance. We will definitely come back!

Something worth mentioning/good to know beforehand: the AC runs on a timer and will automatically shut off after 4 hours. But you can turn it on immediately for another 4 hours. This could disturbing during the night but we easily got used to it once we knew :)

-The location is great, close to the beach, the shopping centre and restaurants. -The pool was really nice and to be honest the only saving grace for this particular villa that we stayed in. Which was villa no.1 -Comfortable clean bed. -Loved the concept they have there,as it's private and you have the entire compound to yourself.Heck you can even skinny dip without worrying too much,not saying we did.😉 -It's also a good sized villa, big living area and bedroom. And that's where it ends.

-The place could do with a thorough cleaning. - It looked like the only thing done there is ,towels get changed and bed made with clean beddings and that's it. The rest of the place was dusty, stains on the curtains,sofas which were white and very conspicuous. Ripped seat covers. -The kitchen was not usable we didn't even feel comfortable using the few utensils there. Had to buy our own cleaning sponge and washing paste to wash the few things that we needed before using as we didn't trust the ones there. -In summary the place was dirty. -The kitchen had two mugs, one tea spoon and one table spoon, no water glasses in the kitchen just two in the bathroom. So it was hardly equipped not even with the bare minimum. -The light on the pool deck is also a serious hazard as one of us got electrocuted! -Guys I can't really give you a picture but what I'll say is, we had read one negative review from 10months ago,that was written while checking out the place,which ended up being our experience down to a T!! -The owners or whoever responded rubbished that review calling it fraudulent. Turns out it wasn't because we experienced it. -In all fairness we saw another villa which was very lovely,clean and properly done and equipped. Villa no.6 Why villa 1 is completely neglected, who knows. The place is great and they have a good thing going there. The things needed are very cosmetic and doable. To the owner, take reviews as feedback to help make necessary changes and get and retain business. Would I stay there again,yes,but not in villa 1.
