“Wait-n-Sea” this adorable beach box, located oceanside

The property was clean and welcoming, and it had everything we needed for our stay. The hosts were very thoughtful and kind. They left a very nice gift card for us to enjoy at a local business, alo ng with a kind note. The weather was not good for part of our stay. The hosts had puzzles, games, and a comfortable environment for us to enjoy during the storms. We had a very nice vacation in Salvo/OBX.

The home was clean and well-stocked. The location was perfect and the walk to the beach was short. Chris provided a lot of tips and recommendations prior to arrival that made our stay easy and more enjoyable.

After a stressful 2024 we decided a week in Salvo was just what we all needed. Myself, daughter, son, granddaughter, sister and my dogs stayed at Wait & Sea for a week. It was wonderful! The care and thought the owners put into making a stay there delightful was much appreciated. The decor, color coordination, comfort of beds, location of home with easy beach access, cleanliness, communication with owner…..I could go on and on. It had everything we needed. There is a small gated area for dogs and they even had bowls and poop bags for their 4 legged guests. I would give it 20 stars!

Our stay exceeded expectations. First of all, the owners epitomized hospitality. We had clear communication before, during, and even after our stay! I appreciated all the wonderful information about both the house and area prior to our arrival. While we were there, a welcome gift of local pastries was delivered to our door--- above and beyond! Additionally, after we returned home the owners sent us a handwritten note thanking us for our stay. Simply fantastic hospitality. We came during COVID for our Thanksgiving. We were traveling with four small children and a small dog. The accommodations were perfect for our family and it's the kind of house I wish could stay in wherever we go! The home was very clean. We provided our own linens due to COVID. I loved the internet access and that we could watch the Thanksgiving Day Parade on the television or our favorite Netflix show! PERKS OF HOUSE1. Exceptionally well-equipped kitchen. I was pleasantly surprised to find everything I needed to cook a Thanksgiving meal, and more! Very thoughtful, well organized, and clean. 2. Bedrooms and bathrooms were beautifully decorated, just enough space, and comfortable. My children loved the double bunkbeds. 3. Outdoor shower was a lifesaver! After days at the beach with so. much. sand. It was so convenient for the kids to wash off in a warm shower, throw on their pajamas, and be done for the night! LOCATION1. I loved the residential vibe of the neighborhood. We met a few neighbors out walking their dogs and everyone was so friendly. It just made the experience feel so much like home 2. The walk to the beach is easy and felt safe not having to cross any busy roads. We went down the street and down a little path before crossing over the dunes to get to the ocean. 3. We were able to easily get to Hatteras or Kitty Hawk Area, even took the ferry to Ocracoke one day. We went to the Hatteras beaches one day and an Ocracoke beach another. We did a beach day at the house once, but walked out to see the sunrise a few times. Very convenient to little shops to pick up needed items as well as attractions up and down the OBX. Wonderfully cared for property, beautiful vacation spot, and above and beyond hospitality from the owners. So glad we found "Wait-n-Sea"!
