About this house rental
This is a 9200-square-foot cabin, 5 minutes outside of Lava Hot Springs, Idaho. It includes 10 bedrooms and 8 bathrooms. This house comfortably sleeps 40 people. We built this house for our family to use but we only go up a few times a year. This place is perfect for family reunions or large gatherings. It sleeps 40 people in beds but we do allow larger groups. There are plenty of couches or places to sleep. Let us know how many are in your party and we will let you know what we can do! You will not find a larger house in the area.
You will need to bring your own plates, cups, and eating utensils. However, we do have cooking utensils, pots, pans, and griddles.
Our great room is large enough to entertain 120+ people with a parking lot, tables and chairs to match. There is no better deal! Easy access all year around.
Come enjoy the famous hot pools of Lava Hot Springs any time of the year or book a few summer nights and float the river, ride ATVs, or go to the world-famous swimming pool in town. Fish, hunt, relax and invite everyone you know to come with you! We are excited to have you stay with us!

I was going to give this place nine stars because the communication was not stellar before the stay, but after getting there, it was an 11/10! So, in my head, it ended up 10/10! The bad: I asked a question when I booked about two months before our stay, and nobody answered, and there is NO BEDDING for any bed other than queen-sized. The website does not mention that, although they did send me an email stating that a few days before our stay. It was just a pain to get everyone to bring bedding. The Good: This place is amazing, so well stocked, totally kid proof, huge, clean, well maintained, beautiful, fun, and enjoyable in every single way. The games, space, and theater room were favorites for sure. The kitchen was great to work in, and they had nearly every appliance/utensil/pot/pan/bowl/spice you could ever need. It snowed while we were there, and someone came and plowed the parking lot/driveway and shoveled the walk for us. We will absolutely stay here again! Thank you for letting us stay at your beautiful cabin!

Such a great place to stay! This is our 3rd time renting it and have loved it every time! Very well kept and accommodates a lot of people. Lots of appliances and spices in the kitchen which really help out. Will definitely be back.

The lodge was everything advertised and we enjoyed having a large space and enough bedrooms to fit our family of 27. The kitchen was well stocked and made meal prep a breeze although the kitchen sinks are kind of small and so hand washing big dishes was a bit of a challenge. Upon arrival it was obvious that the place needed a good cleaning. I don't know if it just didn't get cleaned before or if it just wasn't cleaned well. There was jam smeared on the kitchen counters and several of the bathrooms were rather gross with something (toothpaste or shampoo?) smeared on a toilet seat, mold growing around shower drains, and mirrors speckled with spittle. What made matters worse, there was no cleaning supplies (spray, cleaning wipes, rags, etc.) and we had to go and buy supplies just to clean the place for our stay. The location also fell short when it came to linens. We found out a week before that there would be no bedding provided for any of the twin beds and we needed to bring our own. Something that should have been disclosed in the listing. And when we arrived there were not enough towels for everyone to shower. There were about 3 towels in each bathroom even though some of the bathrooms were connected with rooms to sleep 8. There were a few extra towels in the washroom but these were labeled as towels for taking to the river or pool. Even using these we came up short and had to share towel for showers. Overall, we wish there had been more transparency in the listing.
