Surrounded by a mature pine forest, this extraordinary 4,625 sq ft home is located in Moonlight Basin's most exclusive enclave, The Timbers. This stately Montana lodge offers privacy and seclusion in a modern rustic setting with direct ski-in/ski-out access to Moonlight Mountain and sweeping views of Lone Peak.
Located directly on Stacey’s Way Ski Trail, you are just a short glide to the new Stagecoach Chairlift for the ultimate ski-in/ski-out access or a quick drive or walk to Moonlight Lodge or Ulery’s Lake Camp.
The main level of this spectacular home features the great room with a stone clad gas fireplace, a sleek and modern kitchen with high-end appliances, and a large granite breakfast bar. The sunlit eating nook extends out onto a deck for luxurious outdoor living and a perfect private wildlife viewing spot. On this level is the stunning master suite with floor to ceiling windows, incredibly calming views, a freestanding tub and steam shower.
The lower level is an epic ski home in its own right with a stunning family room opening onto an outdoor deck, a gas fireplace, laundry room and a well-equipped kitchenette. There is a spacious en-suite king bedroom, bunk-room, great room, and mud room to store ski equipment and warm your boots each day.

This is our second time at this property and it is one of our favorites anywhere in the U.S. What is especially nice about this property (including the true ski-in and out) is the two large living spaces with upstairs and down stairs fireplaces and wet bar in basement. The large capacity boot and glove dryer in the mud-room that really works! Two large TVs. And so many bedrooms with king beds for couples. Everything is exceptionally appointed! Top to bottom. Communication with property manager was great. Responded immediately. Check-in/out was seamless. The resort itself is just magical. It has truly become the premier ski destination in North America now. Terrain is just endless from wide groomers to insane steep chutes. They added new bubble-heated 6-8 pack chair lifts that made it very comfortable despite sub-zero temps. We were rarely cold. We will be back!!!!

We stayed at this lovely property for 3 weeks. It was just like being at home!! Amenities were perfect for our group. Plenty of space in the house for us all to gather but also find our corner for some quiet. The property manager went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable during our stay. We loved the ski in and ski out. But the ski in is definitely not for a beginner. We picked up our beginners to Madison base, which was a short drive. I highly recommend this property and will definitely book again!!

This house was wonderful for my husbands 40th birthday trip. It is well appointed, and a great location. It is difficult to ski into, but amazing to ski out of, and well worth it. The boot warmer in mudroom is a nice touch and something you don’t normally see in a rental home. We were always slipping our feet into warm, dry boots every morning to ski. Such a luxury! Having 4 king bedrooms and a bunk room was amazing for 9 total guests.

The group was 5 senior men, a 27 year old man, and two ladies (age not to be revealed for obvious reasons). The layout of the house allowed for privacy for the ladies on the lower level, yet allowed plenty of room for the whole party to gather on the main level.The house was in a perfect location for skiers and snowshoers. The ski out trail is within 50' (max) from the back door of the house. Short ride down to a lift that takes you to Madison Base. Ski in was easy; just be sure you follow the excellent directions in the houses information book.Boot and glove heaters were an excellent touch. Warm things up in the morning before skiing and it was great. Also lots of racks outside for storing your skis. Plenty of cubby holes for storing helmets, etc. right in the same area.This also led to a beautiful hot tub. Nicely maintained and refreshing.Linens were very nice; and the topping luxury touch was robes available for all guests. Kitchen was superb in terms of appliances, spices, dishes, etc. TVs in all bedrooms in addition to the living room and lower level gathering spot. Sleep with the shades open. No fear of loss of privacy, plus the view of the stars was amazing.I could go on and on ... if you get a chance to rent this property, jump on it. Best place we've stayed at in a history of 30 years of trips.And Big Sky was a great place to ski.OH YES! The owners were superb to deal with. Rapid responses, and very helpful before and during the trip. Thanks a million for sharing your house with us.Mike and The Group!!!
