About this house rental
Welcome to our newly constructed, spacious timber frame lake home on Seneca Lake. We oriented the house so that there are spectacular views from every room. It sleeps up to 16 people comfortably including kids with a 22 x 40 foot great room, including an oversized dining table, gourmet kitchen, spacious living room, an attached 14 x 45 foot deck, and recreation room with a huge sofa, gas fire place and television. We also have a large outdoor table and lounge chairs/sofas for comfortable dining al fresco.
This property is unique because it can host multiple families with children. There are two master bedrooms with their own bathrooms and two bedrooms on the lower level that share a bath, but have easy access to the lake through sliding glass doors. There is also a bunk room over the garage with its own bathroom. The bunks are oversized (double mattresses) and can easily sleep two children per bed.
Our lake house is also perfect for a small wedding or family reunion. The 1,000 foot slate patio that hovers 15 feet above the shore will remind you of a scaled-down roman amphitheater, with picture perfect views of the lake and the spectacular sunset.
For more casual outdoor activities, the dock is big enough to seat all the sunbathers, swimmers and boating aficionados in your group. It's also an excellent spot to watch the sun set or have a picnic dinner.
We are fortunate enough to have 150 feet of private lake frontage, with a large dock system. There is a boat lift to park a personal boat on the dock. There is a marina in Watkins Glen which is a ten minute boat ride to the south that offers transit docking and the ability to rent a boat for your vacation.
Our location is ideal for many reasons. For our guests that want to try regional wines, beers and ciders, the Lake House is conveniently located on the Finger Lakes Wine Trail, walking distance to two of the most renowned wineries in the region. It's also close to some of the best hiking in western New York. If you like waterfalls and gorges, don't leave without a visit to Watkins Glen State Park, Buttermilk Falls State Park, Treman State Park and Taughannock State Park. These parks are exceptionally beautiful in the fall, when the leaves are turning color. We are also minutes by car or boat from the small town of Watkins Glenn, which was awarded 3rd Best Small Towns for Adventure by USA Today.
Cyclist will find no shortage of challenging terrain. And skiers/snowboarders can easily access Greek Peak in the winter months for exceptional down hill and cross country adventures.
The property is also a great place for people who appreciate cars, with its close proximity to the Watkins Glen International Race Track. Foodies will not be disappointed, either. There are many farm to table restaurants nearby, as well as breweries and distilleries that serve light fare. We also collaborate with an executive chef who will make herself available if you need a hand in the kitchen or wish to cater a special event. This is a beautiful home on a beautiful piece of property! It is in a great location, and we were able to visit parks and wineries on 3 of the finger lakes. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed. We especially enjoyed the executive chef dinner prepared by Sharon.

Our stay was absolutely perfect! The house was clean, welcoming, and so well-stocked. The best rental we've ever had and there have been many. Glenn was incredibly helpful and communicative. Having wood outside for a fire, kayaks with paddles and gear, all of the amenities were top notch. 5 stars all around and we can't wait to come back!

Fantastic stay at Glenn and Lynn’s property. The house is stunning, the location on the lake was even better, and there were so many thoughtful touches in the home which made the time very special. The dock was terrific for sundowns and stargazing, we spent a few hours at the fire-pit every evening, saw a rainbow with our morning coffee on the deck, and even got to cheer on the Eagles (go Birds!) in the spacious family room. Every room has a lake view, and the beds were super comfortable. Glenn, our host was responsive and check in/check out was easy. Looking forward to returning soon!

We did a girls' trip with 9 ladies who went to high school together many years ago. This was the perfect house for our vacation. There were many places for all of us to hang out including the big living/kitchen area, the lower level fireplace room, firepit area and the beautiful deck!! The location was great with so many hikes, wineries and activities. We hiked at Buttermilk State Park and Watkin's Glen park and they were both beautiful, magical hikes. In addition, we hiked at Taughannock State Park, which was also special. Kayaking on Seneca Lake to Hector Falls with Seneca Lake Kayak was an amazing, peaceful adventure. Our last adventure, a Schooner ride with Sail True Love, was so much fun and something we will never forget!! One of the best things we did was to hire a private chef for the evening. Chef Audrey, Harvest to Hearth was so fabulous. So many locally sourced items and special treats that were personally made by Chef Audrey. We would highly recommend her for a special and delicious dinner. We loved everything the house and area had to offer. Our group would not hesitate to stay here again!! Glenn was easy to work with and so helpful.
