About this cabin rental

Charming 4 bedroom, 1 1/2 bath knotted pine cabin is just a few blocks behind the duck creek village and close to the beautiful Aspen mirror lake and duck creek pond stocked with rainbow trout ( both of which you can ride your atv to) This cabin features a Large open kitchen and living room floor plan with a Lopi wood burning stove, keurig and traditional coffee bar. Upstairs are all the bedrooms, bath and a reading/board game area. On those cold days keep toasty warm with the ultra heating Lopi wood burning stove. Large front covered deck / patio with Large outdoor couch cushion seating to watch the deer eat from the feeder on the property as well as just gazing at the stars from the duck creek elevation of 9,000 feet. There is also an outdoor electric outlet for charging you EV. The back deck has a (seasonal) propane bbq and individual seating. There is a double swing set and a tire swing in the back yard (seasonal). Feel free to walk the 1/2 acre + property and relax walking through the mature aspen and pine trees or just sit at the large cleared fire pit area (seasonal) with a cocktail and a cigar or cook up some s’mores. The flat graveled 200’ circular drive way allows easy access especially if your planning on bringing your trailer of atv’s or motor home. The cabin includes everything you’ll need to have a memorable stay. There is wifi (can have a weak signal at times in the mountains at this altitude) and a smart tv (Netflix, etc) in every bedroom including the living room. There is also a landline telephone for local calls. Just pack a suitcase grab some groceries and enjoy your stay.

PLEASE remember your in the mountains at over 9,000 ft altitude sometimes the power goes out, sometimes the Internet goes out, sometimes the weather changes without a warning and it gets very cold, you may have to improvise. You may have to force yourself to relax, to read a book, have a glass of wine, light a fire, play a board game, conversate and just enjoy natures beauty from the covered front deck. This may not be for everyone. However, most seem to really enjoy their stay in Duck Creek. I am always availible to try to help, assist and ensure you enjoy your stay.

JUST A REMINDER THERE IS NO SUBLETTING, THER IS A $100 PET FEE, NO HUNTING OR SHOOTING IN THIS LOCATION. THE ROADS AND DRIVEWAY ARE PLOWED FOR WINTER ACCESS BUT CAN STILL BE A CHALLENGE. ( 4X4 AND OR CHAINS ARE ADVISED DURING WINTER MONTHS). ALWAYS PLAN FOR YOUR DESTINATION.

He really enjoyed our stay. It was very cute and quaint. The location was perfect. My kids really enjoyed the swingset. We didn’t get a chance to use the fire pit, but maybe next time the deer feeder was a real hit with them. It was really nice waking up seeing them every morning. The only two downsides were the downstairs TV was not working and it was a little warm upstairs, but I let the owner know about these issues and he was very quick to fix them in the near future. We hope to stay there again sometime.
