It’s a beautiful property just a bit outdated.
The look from the outside.

The location was great and the vintage, homey touches were cute.
The bathroom door in our room did not close all the way and the tv was controlled by our neighbors in the middle of the night.

Felt like home! Quiet and peaceful location, secluded but close to everything. Our place felt like home, rustic little cabin with fireplace and lot of wood. It was warm at night and we loved our little hot tub so much. Bed was super comfortable and kitchen was stocked. Also was staying with a dog and he had a great time wondering around. The couple who owns the place is super kind and friendly, will be definitely coming back

Loved the feel of being in a cabin in the woods and having all the amenities of a home. The heater worked great! It was very cozy for a cold night. Very easy to check in and out of.
Unfortunately, the night we arrived there was a HUGE party next door in one of the larger cabins. They were allowed to party well into the night (5am). The guests from the party in the large cabin out front, came onto OUR front porch to sit, talk, and hangout. So I had to kindly ask them to be quite and leave. Which I thought was extremely rude since they had their own cabin to party in. So that made things awkward. We we're only there for the one night since we were trying to get to the slopes early in the AM. So, thats was pretty inconvenient and LOUD.

This is a very cozy place either very considerate keepers.
The only thing I didn’t like was that I couldn’t stay longer.

The property exceeded my expectations! I was so close to the resorts, and the studio was bigger than I expected. It was like I had my own little cottage. I traveled with my pet and we had plenty of room and the entire place was really cozy. Parking on site was such a huge plus. The couple that manages the property is super friendly and is on top of everything.

It was secluded and cozy. Great location as well. Close to the main areas.
Not well lit. The lights on the property were very dim. And the lock to cabin #6 was not working properly.

Great location, excellent room!
The mattress in our room was very saggy and uncomfortable, but the rest of the experience made up for it!

Cozy cabin and great value. Location is good and the place was very comfy bed and a nice pull out couch. There was a fireplace we brought our own wood and had plenty of space to relax after a long day of exploring at big bear. They also accepted our pets! This is very kind of them, but there is carpet so be mindful.
Unfortunately the property managers speak little English, have a google translator ready.
The place is outdated but very good value! I would stay here again!

The fireplace and the comfy bed. Food and market withing walking distance. Close to downtown and the lake. Heater worked great. Coffee provided. Firewood sold onsite. Check in was easy and staff was very friendly. I loved the small cabin because it meant my family had to stay close together and could not just go hang out in other rooms.

We had stayed here a couple of years ago in one of the bungalows and we had loved it, but this time it wasn’t the same, we were in small rooms in the main building. The place is very cute and cozy, but it needs some care.
The sink in our bathroom was clogged and there was a very bad smell coming from the bathroom. The bathtub was old and with old dirt and rust at the edges. In the other room we booked the window was broken. There was some instant coffee downstairs but it would have been nice to have some tea as well. I general it felt old and stuffy compared to the bungalows outside. We hope they can renovate a bit!

This place is very run down and needs a make over desperately. Photos are misleading. No staff onsite except the house keeper who didn’t speak any English. My husband and I took one look at our room and left immediately. Though the room has been “cleaned” everything looked so worn out - the bedding had patches on it, bed frame was falling apart, dresser had a broken drawer hanging off, jacuzzi tub was gross! The tub had plaster and paint throughout as if it had been patched over many times, the jets had hair stuck in them. There was no way you could pay me to stay here!

They double booked the room. We found our self with a little baby without room in the late evening. We reserved the room two weeks before fully paid .Arrived the morning we left the lagguage and when we came back to check in we was informed that the room was double booked . The manager sen the cleaning lady that doesn’t speak English to speak with us and he didn’t pick the phone anymore . We were left in the middle of the street . Is a SCAM we was not the only couple left without room .

Eagle’s Nest is the perfect spot if you’re looking for a cozy, rustic getaway in a traditional mountain-style house. We spent two nights there and absolutely loved it. The location is fantastic — peaceful, scenic, and close to everything you need in Big Bear. Our room wasn’t huge, but it was very comfortable, nicely decorated, and spotless.
The entire building is made of beautiful wood, which gives it that authentic mountain charm. There’s also a lovely yard where you can sit, relax, and enjoy the fresh air — a perfect place to unwind after a day of exploring. Eagle’s Nest offers a great selection of coffee and tea available at all times, which was a thoughtful touch.
One of the highlights of our stay was meeting another friendly guest — it’s that kind of place where people naturally connect and share stories. The atmosphere feels warm, personal, and inviting, making it easy to feel right at home.
Honestly, nothing! Everything was perfect. From the cozy ambiance to the friendly environment and great location, Eagle’s Nest exceeded our expectations.
If you’re looking for a relaxing, rustic experience with true mountain charm, this is definitely the place to stay in Big Bear.

Staff was friendly and available at every moment I needed.
So, these are not ‘bad’ things but things that can be addressed.
The bath tub and tiles in and around the bath tub needs to be replaced. Tub has been repaired to the point of no return.
Bed was old and worn out. That also needs to be replaced.

Property over all is nice, clean.
The cabin I reserved was double booked so ended up in the main cabin. Much smaller room and was upstairs which made it difficult carrying items.

The location was nice close to everything.
It was dirty the bed was very hard the blankets weren't changed the towels were dirty the tub and shower was very dirty and water was not going down and dogs were barking all night couldn't get to sleep overall horrible night

Location was nice, did not use coffee pot, it was dirty, bed very lumpy, cabin surroundings was very nice, manager and helper very nice and polite, hard to communicate with they didn't speak English, overall the stay was pleasant. I guess you get what you pay for, we'd stay there again. Oh I forgot TV remote didn't work most of the time, not that we went up there to watch TV. But at night it would have been nice. Thank you, Tom and Dee Lopez.
It's all on the upper notes

Phenomenal B&B feel. Easy accessibility. Clean, charming, quiet & ready 4 ur needs. Travelled on business. Wi-Fi was perfect. The couple who administers are wonderful people. However, u will be going full Star Trek & speak thru a translator device. As such, if u r NOT a patient person, you are advised

Love the cabins and the hot tub in room
Well, major communications issue with hotel staff. Had to use translator app. Also, there was no coffee-! The hotel staff didn’t understand that one does not simply use instant coffee crystals in a coffee machine!! So disappointing

Rustic feel. It was very cozy. The owners were incredibly friendly though there was a language barrier. Love the jetted tub. Good location.
The mattress was uncomfortable.

It was in a beautiful location. We had stayed there in 1993 and loved it then. We yearned to get back over the years, but were sadly disappointed at the staggering loss of excellence it once had.
The grounds were not well kept as they used to be. It has a lot of things that need to be updated. Our room was very dusty. The windows were very dirty. Breakfast was no longer served. The quality of supposed amenities were not clearly communicated. So much has become rundown.

I liked how close it was to the village
It was kinda dirty, it stunk (especially in the bathroom), the owners speak no English at all so that was an issue in itself, the fireplace smokes really bad like maybe the chimney is clogged, the mini fridge doesn’t work, and the vibe was weird
