I got sick
Francesco helped me find the place, he replied fast to my messages. The place was clean, the room and bathroom was very spacious. There were extra blankets in the wardrobe. The breakfast was nice and plenty.
Francesco forgot to tell me that I needed to plug in the boiler to get warm water, so I was not happy to take a cold shower after walking in the rain for 30 minutes. The house looks quite worn down, a renovation would go a long way. The wooden windows didn't keep the cold and wind outside. But my biggest problem was that the heating wasn't turned on for the second night for us. I woke up with a sore throat, and by night I already had a runny nose and fever. I'm sorry, but compromising my health out of negligence is simply unacceptable for me. This has never happened to me before.

We liked everything! The room was really nice, a little bit darker, but it was ok. The pool was clean and relaxing.
We didn t like our breakfast, I mean it was good, but it was the same food everyday, 2 types of croissant, jam, butter, yogurt and cereals. It was too much sweet for breakfast, in my opinion.

Very uncomfortable bed
The pictures as showed on booking.com were not representative. It was filthy and dated. The quality of the bed was terrible. The bed was very uncomfortable, extremely hard. The bottom of the bed made crack noises and was sagged. We don't recommend this accomodation, especially not to old people because of a dangerous step in the bathroom and a lot of narr ow stairs to reach the room. Very warm room, lots of mosquitoes. Other guests complained also about swimming pool and room. Breakfast was not sufficient for all guests. There were no options. There was only one bread per person. On booking.com we read there was a fridge in the room. That was not true. Strange behaviour of the owner. Not open for any suggestions, got really mad when we made some complaining.

We had a great stay in Poggi di S. Caterina!
The hosts were absolutely adorable, we were well taken care of at all times. We didn’t have a car so it was a bit complicated to come from the station but the host Paolo came to pick us up very nicely. Also the swimming pool is really big and agreeable. The room was clean, towels and amenities in sufficient quantities. We really recommend this lovely B&B !
