Back garden slightly unkempt

This is one of the best places we have ever stayed in our many travels. The host was very responsive and thorough in any instructions we needed. The cookies and milk were a very nice touch! The home was very clean and is really charming, plus we had plenty of space for our needs. The beds and living areas were quite comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed. The location was perfect for walking to a small market and walking to see some lovely views. We loved the town of Durness also!

Everything was great!

I liked everything. It was like a home away from home. There was every piece of equipment you would need to make your stay comfortable. The rooms very lovely decorated. Having direct access to the garden was lovely and the house is within walking distance of shops, beaches and the best hot chocolate ever!

There was not anything I didn't like.

Stunning location, love Durness!

Towel rail in the downstairs bathroom gets very hot, my wife burned her wrist on it - maybe a warning notice would help.

Location was excellent, the welcome pack was perfect. The sun room was very relaxing, and overall very well equipped.

The property was a proper family home with everything in it that you needed. There was a lovely array of goodies left if you arrived late. The shop was only a 2 minute walk away that sold just about everything you could need.

Great space, comfortable beds, good showers, lots of kitchen utensils, nice food basket to start us off. Would definitely come back.

If I was being picky a welcome note to help us know where to shop, eat out etc

Wallaby's was welcoming and comfortable had everthing we needed. Perfect for a base to explore the area. It was our second visit and we hope we can return for a third.

We liked everything. Wallaby's supplied everything plus a little welcome pack. Absolutely no complaints.

Very large house, too much for me, but I just used the rooms I needed. Well equipped kitchen, everything very clean. The hosts left a basket of supplies for me, since I arrived after the shop was closed. Good stuff!

TV - when it says TV on the description, it means, usually, that it works, you turn it on, you get 3 or 4 channels. This one turned on, but there was a "mystery box" as well. After fiddling around with both for a while, and still nothing, I texted the hosts. Who took several hours to respond. They gave me a clue, which resulted in one channel, which was mostly infomercials, quiz shows, and now and then news or a soap. If a TV in a rental accommodation is more complicated than just turning it on, there should be instructions. Hopefully they will do something about it, because there is NOTHING to do in the evenings in Durness.

I travelled for work (biological sampling) with my partner (who works from home). Due to the spaciousness, comfort, and facilities at Wallaby's we were both able to work in an environment similar to home.

Wallaby's has a fully equipped kitchen, which is good because the surrounding area very sparce on restaurants or places to get food. I suggest you bring food with you and cook at the house.

Lovely home, we really enjoyed ourselves, it had everything we needed.

Spacious, warm, spotless, fantastic location, lovely garden, top location, wonderful welcome pack. Could hardly be improved!

a couple of things for the dog would have been a nice touch (dog blanket, bowl); we didn't get the TV to work properly (no big issue)

Great location, spotlessly clean, and had all mod cons which worked!

House was very cold inside on arrival which wasn’t very welcoming. However, it warmed up very quickly when the heating was on, but then it got rather too hot, and we couldn’t adjust timing or temperature. Aside from this minor niggle the accommodation was perfect for us.

The house was brilliant. Had everything you could need and a lovely welcome pack. Ideally placed for touring the area.

The location was perfect for exploring the North West Highlands. The house was like a home from home, everything you could ask for and the host was very responsive. We were having such a great time that we were lucky enough to be able to extend our stay. We'll definitely be back.

The kitchen was well stocked and very clean. The house was comfortable and warm.

GPS took us past the house, up a small lane just beyond the house. This was on various mobile phones. In the end, there were some friendly gentlemen who told us where the house was. We did arrive in the dark which made identifying the location more difficult. A more clear house number or identification would have been appreciated. Other than that all was well. One more thing, we were asked to leave the keys in 'the back door'. Now, deciding which door was 'the back door' made for more mystery. All in all, the house proved to be a fabulous place to stay and we would like to stay there again one day.

House was perfect

We loved how clean and comfortable the house was and how close it was to the beaches. It really did feel like a home from home.

The only tiny critisism is that for the size of the house, it could have a slightly bigger fridge/freezer.

Extra touches much welcomed

For us as a couple a one night stay worked out to be very expensive

This home is a real find - and it is a real home. I was traveling on my own but it would comfortably accommodate six people in three bedrooms. Recently renovated with everything needed for an extended stay or just a couple of days as I was. It would not be possible to be disappointed with this home. Durness is fairly remote but a wonderful place to visit with plenty to do and see. Oh, and there were rabbits in the garden - how sweet was that?
