BLUE LAKE SPRINGS - The perfect mountain cabin for your next family vacation!
The Sweet Retreat is tucked away in the beautiful Blue Lake Springs community in the Sierra Nevada's close to restaurants, wine tasting, boutique shops, golfing, Calaveras Big Trees State Park, and Bear Valley Ski Resort.
This cabin comes with a fully appointed kitchen, four bedrooms; including a kids room with bunk bed, a loft with a futon, vintage video games, and toy corner. Two full bathrooms and a spacious deck to grill dinner!
On the ground floor, the two main bedrooms have Queen and King beds with a full remodeled bathroom, fully equipped kitchen, dining area, and cozy living space with a smart TV which allows you to sign into any of your favorite apps for viewing.
The large deck has expansive forest views, gas barbecue, patio dining table, and lounge chairs.
Upstairs in the third bedroom there is a Queen bed, and a fourth bedroom with three twin beds including a bunk. The upstairs loft has an additional Queen futon bed, Foosball table, kids play area, an additional TV/DVD and vintage video games.
Guests of The Sweet Retreat are welcome to use the community recreational facilities (fees apply). The facilities include two lakes and a pool. Barbeque facilities (reservation required/fees apply), tennis courts, bocce ball, horseshoe pits, children’s playground, and so much more!
Linens/Towels/Dishes/wi-fi/Amazon TV provided/Board Games too! - all the comforts of home come fully stocked to help you enjoy your time away.
Seasonal snow removal for the driveway is available per request for an additional expense. Inquire with property owner for details.

This place worked out perfect for our fun family weekend. Clean and well stocked. I have rented several cabins using VRBO and I tend to rate them against the others. This one had the cleanest and most organized kitchen I have seen. Kudos to your cleaning team. TBH I was a bit concerned when I realized it didn’t have A/C (my fault) but it actually worked out fine. Fans were provided and it helped a lot with the heat. Saturday we spent the day at the lake and it was a perfect day. We totally enjoyed (what my son called the dead media). A DVD player and old movies. Nothing better ! We are already talking about our next trip. I have to think hard to come up with any issues/concerns and the only one was getting there. We all lost cell service so directions were a challenge. But getting lost was part of the adventure. I would recommend to anyone coming up to print out the directions from Avery/Arnold. A couple street signs were down which would have made it challenging if we were coming up at night. Overall the place was great, the host was great, and the memories we made as a family were amazing. Thank you for sharing your family cabin with my family !!!

Pros: clean rooms that were nicely setup, spacious game area and living room, great patio with bbq grill, tables and chairs on patio, easy check-inCons: some dirty dishes, non-working lights in living room and ceiling fan, a broken patio chair. Overall: good spot and reasonable for a few days stay.
