Was relaxing and enjoyable

The location was just fine, only a short walk to Coop and 25 minutes walk to Aviemore center. The room was cozy, clean and warm. The breakfast was simple but good. The hosts were very nice and came to check on us the first morning to see if we needed anything. I would come again. The prize was very good for a 2 night stay. Well done!

From what I saw in the description before, I thought there would be fresh milk in the fridge, which was not the case. Something to maybe change. :) Otherwise, we enjoyed the stay!

Warm and cosy snug

Great location. Very clean and tidy. All we needed was there. Breakfast provided was good. Good heating. TV channels varied. Wasn't a lot to dislike.

Shower was ok but temperature of water varied a lot. Bed was soft ... understand some people would like that.

Excellent stay, excellent hosts and good value for money, would highly recommend and stay again

We had a lovely time staying at The Snug. It felt like having a place of our own in Aviemore, which we enjoyed much more than had we stayed at a hotel. The property was very clean, with breakfast and coffee/tea provided. The bed was very comfortable and despite the cold weather outside the temperature inside was comfortable all the time. As we didn’t have a car, we relied on buses in snowy weather, which were not always reliable. One day Craig offered to drive us to Glenmore, which was unexpected but very much appreciated.

If I had to nitpick, the pressure in the shower could be better, but that is just the nature of electric showers and nothing that affected our stay.

Nice overnight

Spotlessly clean, comfortable bed and a great wet room. Cosy and warm. TV and board games.

More choice of tea and coffee. A small cartoon of milk could have been left in the fridge. The breakfast although adequate could have contained a piece of fruit. Some shower gel.

Great short break stay

The property was spotless and it was warm. We loved the location and the property had a speared entrance. The property is ideal for a short stay.

There was a wet room instead of bathroom. I wasn’t prepared for that, I didn’t have rubber slippers with me, I didn’t feel comfortable touching the floor with bare feet, the floor was very cold, that was an unpleasant experience.

The Snug is exceptional. I was on a two day mountaineering trip in the Cairngorms and used this place as my base for the night. It is extremely clean, warm and comfortable. Very cosy, great wet room and amazingly well put together. Can’t fault it!

Great location (nice quiet street in the beautiful town of Aviemore) and very lovely, friendly, helpful hosts. They provided free breakfasts, a little fridge, a nice counter top and bedside tables and lights and everything we needed, including helpful advice and good recommendations for activities. Etc.

A little TOO snug. Not much room for getting around and the twin beds were very tiny. Also, there were no towel racks for hanging our towels up in the bathroom. Other than that, it was wonderful!

Good room for an overnight stay.

Good location for walkers on the Speyside way. Nice clean room in converted garage. A fridge was provided. Very helpful host. good shower room though not heated.

A document that explained access to wifi, how to get hot water out of the shower room sink (it required switching on from outside the shower room) and the room heater controls would have been very useful. Our host was very helpful in explaining. A small carton of fresh milk in the fridge would have been nice rather than the UHT sachets. I have a cat allergy and despite the place being pet free, a neighbours cat was determined to get in the room. I suspect a previous guest had let it in as I had a reaction similar to my cat allergy.

Lovely little place in a great location of Aviemore. Thought out ammenities such as breakfast provisions and books/ suggestions for local activities! Bed was comfy and was in a quiet place without too much noise

Clean, comfortable, convenient

Anona and Craig were very helpful and friendly. The bed was comfortable. Nice large parking area outside our room. The location was convenient for town, a 20 minute walk and you were there. There was a wee shopping centre 5 minutes away - handy for room essentials and fine pieces!

As the wet room was small, after a shower, the floor beside the toilet and sink were wet. The towels were rather rough.

Great place to stay for a couple of days

The place was cosy, quiet and had all the basic amenities. The breakfast provided (porridge, yoghurt, pastries and juice with tea) was nice. Check in and out was easy and the hosts were very responsive.

As the room is small, it can get a bit stuffy. The only table/ seating is outside and is not covered, so when it rains, there's nowhere really to sit and eat.

Lovely stay, comfortable, convenient, and welcoming

We stayed at The Snug in Aviemore for one night and really enjoyed our time there. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and check-in and check-out were completely self service, which made everything feel easy and relaxed. One of the highlights for us was that the room had a mini fridge, something we often find surprisingly hard to come by, but is really important for us when we travel and it’s often a deciding factor. It was a small detail that made a big difference. There was also a simple but thoughtful breakfast provided, with instant oat pots and breakfast pastries, which we really appreciated before heading out in the morning. I accidentally got mixed up with the check-out time and reached out to ask if a later check-out might be possible. The host was very gracious and kindly gave us an extra hour and a half, which we were so grateful for. Another unexpected delight though not officially part of the accommodation, was the sweet little cat that greeted us on the lovely, quiet street when we arrived and again when we left in the morning. It added such a cosy, welcoming touch to our visit. All in all, we felt really well looked after and would definitely return. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Comfortable stay in quiet location

Lovely, new accommodation in a very quiet neighbourhood. Everything was clean, the bed was comfortable and there was a little breakfast provided. The room also comes with a fridge, cutlery, paper plates and some board games. For this great price, the accommodation has everything one needs. Due to the self check-in, I never met the owners since I arrived fairly late and left early, however they sent me several very friendly messages, offering their help.

The room was quite cold unfortunately and also stayed this way when I turned up the heating. There was only the one blanket provided, and I'm sure I could have asked for a second one but it was already quite late by then and I didn't want to disturb the owners who live next door. I didn't quite understand the shower whose boiler needs to be switched on with a switch located on the outside of the bathroom. As far as I could see, no explanation of this was provided anywhere. When switched on, some settings lead to either freezing cold or dangerously hot water. I finally managed to find a setting with a good temperature (Eco setting). I would have loved a vegan option for the breakfast, although I wasn't expecting it.

Excellent place with friendly host already looking forward to next years trip.

Nice clean room. Lovely pre prepared breakfast. Perfect location as close to a lot of the walking routes we wanted to visit (right on the Aviemore Orbital route) and for visiting Inverness. 10 min walk into the town centre so you can go for a drink and food at night.
