We enjoyed our stay at the house. It was within walking distance to the restaurants and down town area. The backyard was nice for our dog to run around and play fetch. The master bed was comfy and the walk in shower was really nice. The house was also located a short drive over to St Louis bay which has dog friendly beaches, for anyone who wants to take their dog to the beach. We would definitely stay here again

We stayed here for my husband's birthday, and while the master bed was comfortable and the large fenced backyard great for our dog, there were several issues that affected our experience.
The sectional couch in the living room was not the same as in the listing photos and was stained and dirty, which was disappointing. The rug in the master bedroom also smelled of dog and looked dirty. We sent photos to the owner, who kindly offered to send a cleaning service, but we didn’t want to inconvenience ourselves or the cleaner during our short stay, so we used towels to cover the couch. However, the stains (including pee stains) suggested a deeper clean or replacement was needed.
While the owner was responsive and tried to help, the overall cleanliness of the home was lacking. The HVAC grill was filled with dirt and hair, and the back patio was missing one of the two chairs shown in the listing photos.
Ultimately, we left a night early. I hesitated to write this review because the owner was nice, but I wish other reviews had been more honest so we could have managed expectations better. It was unfortunate, especially for a special birthday trip.
