About this house rental
This beautiful home is perfect for large groups and families. Sleeps 16 comfortably. It features a large open concept living area complete with breathtaking panoramic views of Torch Lake, perfect for watching the sunset from the comfort of the couch. The house is equipped with two full kitchens great for entertaining, a laundry room and keypad access to a two-car garage. A family suite and primary bedroom downstairs and three bedrooms upstairs.
The interior of the home is handicap accessible, with access to an Acorn Stairlift between floors upon request.
New LVP installed downstairs fall of 2023.
Outside amenities include a massive yard perfect for activities such as frisbee, volleyball and badminton. A covered concrete porch extends off the front of the house complete with a grill and outdoor seating. S’mores can be roasted over the fire pit located near access to the dock and speedboat hoist.
The property is situated at the northern end of the lake, about forty minutes away from the sandbar by speedboat. Under a 20 minute drive to Short’s Brewing Company and less than 10 minutes to both Mammoth Distillery and Cellar 1914. Within short driving distance to Shanty Creek/Schuss Mountain/Boyne Mountain for golf and skiing. 20 minutes from Charlevoix and 45 minutes from Traverse City and Petoskey.

The house is beautiful and clean, plenty of room for a bigger group to stay and enjoy stunning views of the lake. The lake was perfect for swimming and our children, ages 2-11, enjoyed endless hours of play in the perfect beach area off the house. The dock was wonderful for boating and there’s a fire pit for enjoyment at night. The water in torch lake is the most beautiful aqua blue you have ever seen and there were lots of Petosky rocks to be found! The neighborhood is quiet and this property has a large, well maintained yard. There’s a wonderful covered porch and a grill to use as well. The kitchen is fully stocked with cooking equipment. Overall it was a splendid location and property. We couldn’t have been happier with our time on torch lake. You will not be disappointed by staying here!

We had a wonderful time at The Northern Escape on Torch Lake! Accommodations were great for 2 families, little kids easily play in the shallow water and the boat lift was put to work for several boat trips! We are looking forward to next year!

What a beautiful home on an incredible lake. Dawn was able to accommodate us within hours of us finding out our previous host had double booked us and we were already in the area needing a place to stay. She saved our family vacation. This house was so perfect for us, it was meant to be. Bright, clean and spacious. Had everything we needed. Neighbors were great, too.
