Location cleanness and comfortable property

When I called 3 hours before the check in, staff said they don't know about my booking. That's what I got shocked because I don't want to sleep outside in Canberra weather if booking messed up from their end however he has checked and confirmed and sent details about check in. Also key pickup from another location was hectic as I was carrying 3 bags and was very tired after long work day.

Bed was nice and comfy, apartment was nice and warm upon arrival during this cold weather, apartment was a lot more then I expected, will be returning soon and hope i get this same place

The bed could do with a new mattress - saggy to the middle

Location was really convenient to main transport and walking distance.

My biggest concern was the bedding/linen. It smelled and looked old and faded, bath mat and hand towel was stained. I have an allergy to dust mites and it was very evident by my symptoms that the mattress and pillows were old. The mattress was very soft and sagging. The box mattress underneath did not have “feet”, and was straight on the floor allowing any circulation. I bussed from the airport and had to walk 10 minutes to pick up the key with all my luggage and detours because of construction in the area. I was so disappointed that I then had to trace back again with my luggage to very much where I had started from. I wish I had been informed by The property owner that there was a lot of construction in the area. I understand their frustration but it also caused me quite a bit of inconvenience when walking around on foot, google maps sending me in conflicting directions, as opposed if I had stayed on the east side of the construction. I was quite shocked that as a result of the construction and through no fault of the owners, a lot of graffiti and homeless people setting up permanent in very close proximity, boarded up shops etc. I didn’t have any negative experiences regarding the latter but being aware of where I was I was not comfortable venturing out in the evenings as a woman travelling by herself.
