About this cabin rental

This custom yurt is very secluded in the mountains, just 25 miles above Zion National Park in Southern Utah. It is nestled amongst Pine and Quaking Aspen trees on a family owned ranch, where the nearest people are 1000 ft away, down a winding country road. Views of the pink cliffs and mountains from the 12 x 40 ft deck are spectacular. After a day in the nearby National Parks, retreat to your own slice of heaven and enjoy the cool evening breeze, the amazing views and the wildlife that live there.

The yurt was hand built by the owners, with much of the lumber sourced and milled right on the ranch, from trees that were killed by the pine beetle. It is completely off the utility grid and powered by the sun with a green energy solar system that allows for all the comforts of home.
The yurt includes:
Master bedroom with a king bed
Queen pull down murphy bed in the family room
Two full beds in the loft and two more roll out pads for kids.
2 sofa sleepers
Bathroom with toilet, bidet, spacious shower, plenty of towels and wash cloths.
Full kitchen with all cooking utensils and spices. Just bring your food.
Spring water, right out of the tap.
50 inch Smart LCD TV,
Free Wi-Fi
Sleeps 8 adults, more if some are children.

Because of the cool days there is no need for air conditioning, On warmer days the yurt has screen doors and a dome that opens to allow heat to escape. For the cool nights, close the dome and turn on the propane heater or the wood stove for a warm and cozy evening. The yurt also as a fire pit with Adirondack chairs.

Guests like the unique feel of the yurt, but they soon fall in love with its location, with its views, the wildlife and total seclusion.

This was our second stay in the yurt two years in a row. We were there in 2022 in the fall and went again at the same time because our first trip was perfect. This year didn't disappoint us. The yurt is equipped with everything we need and we pack in our groceries due to the ranch's remote location. The yurt is just right for us and our dogs, especially the deck and the view of the pink cliffs. The location is so beautiful, close to Navajo Lake and other attractions and so quiet. The owner communicated very well also.

We loved it and didn't want to leave. Beautiful area, and we timed it perfectly for the fall colors. It was so peaceful, and we never saw another soul except deer. The location is close to other great attractions like Cascade Falls and Cedar Breaks National Monument. Also our dogs were in heaven and would probably prefer to live there.

Normally you rent a cabin in the mountains and expect to rough it a little. The yurt was amazing and glamping at its best! The views of the distant mountains in front and red rock formations in back surround the yurt in Mother Natures finest. It’s a little piece of heaven. It was built with care and is maintained with that same care. I can’t wait to return.

Beautifully constructed with thoughtful and nice finishing work. Amenities were a luxury for a yurt way off the grid, but not over the top. Well equipped kitchen, aspen-shaded deck, comfortable bed, views of the classic utah-red cliffs up the hill, secluded and peaceful location, bbq; really great spot to spend a few nights. There's a small ranch down the hill a few hundred yards off so you might hear the occasional cow/horse/goose, but it's out of view and largely out of mind. Nearest store is the general store 30ish minutes away in Duck Creek Village, which has your basics (marshmallows, apples, hotdogs, great Utah ribeye), but you'll probably want to grab your vegetables at a larger store in Cedar City (~1 hr drive).Dogs loved it, we loved it.
