We just stayed a couple of nights, but we enjoyed the area, the facilities, it was a good value

The whole area has a really nice vibe., Very California. Great location just a couple of blocks from the beach. Lots of restaurant choices interesting place to walk around. The staff were friendly and helpful. The people in area were friendly.

We stayed there on a Friday night and the music from a local club was hard to ignore

Clean rooms with many separate bathrooms. Breakfast was included, huge social area, well equipped kitchen, no drunk people.

No curtains on the beds, just a 50 long plastic cover at the head area.

Overall it was a very good experience.

Location was Excellent. The place has a very good structure, common areas and bathrooms were very clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and they provide you with some ammenities for the beach as well.

Room cleanliness could've been better. Lockers doors were broken also.

Comfortable Beds, Minutes from the beach in cool, fun neighborhood

For a Hostel, I found the bed very comfortable. I liked the vibe of the place. It was literally 5 minutes from the beach. I was also very impressed by how quiet it was during the night. I stayed there with my niece and my 2 sons and we had a great experience. I liked how we were able to use the kitchen as well. Everyone was very respectful and the hostel was very clean.

It exceeded my expectations honestly. I guess it could have been cheaper given it is a hostel, but overall I was satisfied.

bohemian artsy beach style hostel

I liked the location and there were a lot of artsy bohemian.stores and restaurants and very close to.beach. I liked the dorm layout and the free breakfast was really good. the staff were very helpful

Friendly hostel in a

Loved this hostel, really nice friendly vibe, great location on the main street by all the shops and bars, 2 minute walk to the beach. It felt completely safe for a female solo traveller. Breakfast included which was great, and plenty of bathrooms which were clean and in good condition. Some nice hangout areas including an outdoor space too.

Amazing stay at Samesun Beach Ocean, already planning to come back ! Very great location - 5 mn walking distance from the beach - Good vibes, rooms where great, nice chill area with couchs , quiet at night, and breakfast served every morning. The opportunity to rent surf boards directly there is a plus !

Great hostel!

Thoughtful collection of amenities available, staff were helpful, kind and considerate towards all guests and did a good job of managing the communal areas. Loved that there were surfboards to hire, easily the cheapest rates on ocean beach. It was great that they had beach chairs, ice boxes and beach towels to borrow. Also appreciated the space to store bikes. Communal areas were really nicely laid out giving the place a relaxed feel. Bathrooms were clean and had a collection of communal bathroom products to borrow which was really handy. Also liked that there were a couple of of private bathrooms as well as the big communal ones.

Would have been cool if there was some communal coffee during the day for those jetlagged travellers but otherwise the kitchen was well stocked and clean. Its great that they offer a simple breakfast too.

Rules not followed strictly which creates unpleasant situation for some travelers. They don't take cash, which is important for budget travelers with minimum bank balance in their disposal. Unnecessary rules like an extra payment even if the checkout time is exceeded by few minutes

It's probably the cleanest hostel I've ever stayed in. The staff is very friendly, and they were always there to assist me. It was awesome. Location is perfect!

Clean and affordable close to the beach

The location is wonderful! So close to the beach. The price is excellent. Staff is friendly and helpful. Very CLEAN. I felt safe and welcome. Other guests were quiet and respectful in late night/early morning hours. It was so much better than any of the hostels I stayed at in my 20s. I saw guests both younger and older than myself. Simple breakfast included oranges, oatmeal, waffles, aussi bites, and coffee or tea.

If you are a light sleeper, you will have problems. Good sleepers probably would not be bothered by quiet, muffled conversations on the patio, the bell ringing for late night arrivals, or the doors being opened or closed in the hallway bathrooms. The bed does squeak a bit. There was a fan in my room, which may help for a little white noise. The shower was small but clean with good water pressure. A little wear and tear on the fixtures and textiles, but clean. Parking was several blocks away, but an easy walk. There is 15 Minute and 2 Hour Parking available directly outside the hostel to load your stuff. The initial aroma of ganja did concern me as I walked past the outside patio, but all of the guests that I met seemed in control of all their faculties. Some reviews did mention people who were homeless in the area. It is a beach town with excellent weather. I didn't feel threatened or afraid.

Clean, efficient, cheerful and well-run hostel!

Coffee was hot & tasty, glad they had fruit; waffles were OK too. Could always find a spot to sit and eat. The room was very clean, efficiently laid out considering small size. Our bunk bed was cute looking. Appreciated the drinking water available. Staff was always friendly and helpful. Entire hostel seemed to have been recently refurbished with nice art on the walls, etc. There was a convenient multilevel shelf next to the bunk bed. We heard music from the bar/restaurant next door both nights, which I kind of enjoyed; it ended by 10 pm or so.

Missed protein at breakfast, even if just a boiled egg. Also I was hoping for Aussie Bites but the two days I was there, they had granola bars instead. My husband was hoping for bananas, but they had tangerines instead... Our bunk bed was more lightweight than expected, and whenever either of us moved, it felt/sounded like an earthquake for the other person. We really missed having any bedside lamp so we could read in bed. Even a bedside light switch for upper bunk would be helpful. Since we're getting on in age it's a bit scary having to climb down the ladder in the dark to go to the bathroom, and also climbing up the ladder in the dark after turning lights out at night. Although we saw "no smoking/vaping" signs, we noticed the smell of marijuana several times when walking around the various parts of the hostel.

Very good and clean place to stay

Honestly this time was my first experience of staying in Hostel and I must say, i was very impressed with the property and the security. The rooms were very good, bathrooms were very clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Totally changed my perception towards hostel stay and would highly recommend for someone looking for budget stay and security, especially solo traveler.

Honestly breakfast options were very limited. Majority of them were making their own, so can't reply comment on it. Being a vegetarian, I felt few more options would have been nice.
