Room seemed a lot bigger on photos. Bed was not comfortable, no ac. Noise outside of room. Bed mattress was hars. Reception didn't speak English which isn't a big deal but it's normally expected in hotels.

An excellent place, for a great price in a nice location.

I could hear a woman screaming in another room and be careful to walk around the area at night. We had a hard time getting there one night because it seems that they frequently close the street that leads to the hotel.

Nice, but the area doesn't feel safe at night

The hotel is close to the historical area which we could easily reach by walking. It is also very easy to get to the airport by the metrobuses, the stop is very close. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There are water dispensers on each floor.

The streets are very empty at night, and it doesn't feel very safe. Since all the rooms are looking into the same hall, the noise is really the issue. People (mainly the guests) are too loud.

Good and bad

Room was comfortable, staff were absolutely lovely and helpful, and the showers are great.

After finding baby cockroaches in there on the first night, we checked everytime we came back in, and everytime found another little one or two crawling about. Location is very close to town, but it's also very close to an area some would recommend you to avoid, la merced. Walking home after 8 always felt like you had to keep your eyes open.

Location, it was easy to get there. Surroundings seemed a bit insecure at night, especially for solo travelers.

Very noisy at night. There was one off the guests who was laughing and screaming very loudly around 2 or 3 in the morning. I mean, really loud for more than an hour and no one got there to tell her to shut up.

Renovated hotel, less than 10min walk from the very centre of Mexico City. They provide free filtered water.

The neighbourhood can be very eerie after the market closes (after 7pm). Walking there from the Zocalo doesn’t feel as safe as one would wish, specially after 10pm when all the streets are empty.

Slightly unclean, there was no hot water for the first two days of our stay, and several of the locals said this location was unsafe at night.

There was a woman talking really loud with the receptionist at 1 am and I couldn't sleep. I went there to tell them to lower their voice but they just ignored me, and one of them is the staff of the hotel. This is absolutely ridiculous, the staff just ignored me and talked so loud, it was 1 am.

Great value for money in the historic center of CDMX.

Nice hotel in a pretty good location with friendly staff and good facilities. Wifi was fast and stable, room was quite comfortable and there's a water dispenser on each floor.

Better soundproofing would be nice in the rooms, as you can hear people talking loudly in the foyer. Also a bit more ventilation in the room would be nice, given it gets quite humid at times.

The room was very small and it was very damp. It became very musty and moist after one night. There is no AC just a fan, that is pretty loud at night. There is also no elevator because of the construction.

Everything was great. The hotel is inwalking distance to the city center. The most important thing is that the staff is very helpful. I forgot a wrist watch in the hotel room. The staff inform us and they sent it to me in Greece. We are very grateful. Excellent service 👌

Great room, great location, and amazing staff!

The room was exactly as in the pictures, and the staff were very friendly and helpful - they allowed me to check in early in the morning and used their phones to communicate with me whenever my Spanish listening wasn't good enough. They asked me every day if I wanted my room to be cleaned, even when it was cleaned the day before. The hotel's location is great - only 10 mins walk from the main square (Zócalo) and from there, everything is in 2-3 mins walking distance, including bars, restaurants, shops, museums, landsmarks, etc. I would highly recommend Ayenda Continental Mexicano to anyone who is looking for a place to stay in Mexico City 😊

There was no lift as it was still being built. However, my room was on the first floor, so I had no problem at all doing a bit of exercise up and down whenever I needed to 🙂

Don’t even bother to stay there!

We didn’t stay there. The staff members weren’t honoring the reservation. We had booked two bedrooms and he said it only said one and they wanted us to pay for the “extra bedroom”. I called booking and told them. They said we had reserved two bedrooms but the staff didn’t want to give us the rooms. So we went back to the airport and slept there.
