Nido al Lido

Everything was wonderful about our 2-week stay, well exceeding our expectations; we very much look forward to returning next year :-). The photos are very accurate of the facilities on site and of their very good condition (there are 4 different apartments, all with the same capacity, located in 2 separate houses, with the pool in-between; just make sure you pick the one you want). Everything is designed with great taste, with several more modern as well as restored pieces of furniture, all done in the local style, which made everything feel very harmonious and welcoming. We found the apartment to be well equipped with everything we needed, even for a longer, family of 4 stay, like ours. The beds were very comfortable, which was a big plus. Everything - in and outside the apartment - was spotless clean; we didn't need to clean anything ourselves, as it happened with other locations we stayed in; the change of towels, bedsheets, and vacuuming was kindly offered by the hosts every few days, as needed. We greatly appreciated the pool (which has a shallower part on one side that is great for smaller children) and well as the baker that drives in every day (even on Sundays), between roughly 08:00 - 08:30, with a great selection of bread and pastries that are typical in Italy for breakfast. We did not expect breakfast to be provided, and really appreciated this possibility, at a very reasonable price (about 30% of what it actually costs in Brussels), and without having to go to the shop ourselves. The accommodation is located within walking distance from the Lido di Noto beach (some 10-12 minutes away), and within 15-35 minutes drive from other great places worth visiting like obviously Noto, Avola, Marzamemi, or Siracusa/Ortigia. Last, but not least, the hosts - Sandrine and Guiseppe were extraordinary, always anticipating our needs, offering a lot of support, with small, as well as bigger things - simply one of a kind, feeling like family to us after our stay.
