Villa Maresia Dourada

The villa was spacious and comfortable and the location was very good. The kitchen was very well equipped and beds were comfortable. It was a 5 minute walk to the beach. Restaurants and bars within 10 minute walk. There is also a good supermarket with a coffee shop 5 minutes walk away. Beach/ pool towels were provided. Games provided, if you had children with you.

These are minor issues and didn’t really affect our holiday negatively. Some of the furniture was a bit dated or had minor damage. The air conditioning didn’t work properly in one of the bedrooms - it kept switching itself off. There were no electric sockets in one of the bedrooms, just one in the en-suite.

Nice, clean villa with good facilities.

The pool was not up to expectations. We had to pay for heating @ 40 euros a day, but when we arrived on the 22nd at about 4pm, the pool was cold and then again on the 23rd. I contacted the agent and was told that it takes 1/2 days to heat up. The pool stayed cold until thursday 28th, we had been out for the day and when we got back the water hose was out and the pool had been topped up and surprise surprise it was nice and warm, this lasted until lunchtime on the Saturday 30th when the pool men turned up again and topped it up again with cold water and turned the heating off!!!! Any chance of a last swim before we went home on the 31st went out of the window. Also the pool wasn't cleaned during the 10 days and alge had formed around the edge with dirty patches on the bottom. A lot of tiles were missing and also coming loose whilst we were using the pool. Overall considering that we paid 340 euros for heating, it was very poor.

The property was wonderfully clean and had great utilities and lots of space.

I can’t fault the property.
