An interesting visit to Pontalier

Central location. Clean and organised with a friendly welcome on arrival. Facilities provided reflected the budget nature of the accommodation.

Great atmosphere. Breakfast was good. The room was great. The staff were extremely helpful. We arrived early and they were very accommodating and prioritised getting our room ready. Really recommend it

Marvellous experience

Best breakfast of my three week cycle tour in France & Switzerland. Yoghurts and muesli outstanding- any first class hotel would be proud. Vegetarian dinner option excellent and great value

Friendly staff. Good value hostel accommodation in a convenient location for the Via Francigena, with restaurants not far away for those not self-catering.

When I arrived there was a wedding party … apparently they rented the whole place … I was supposed to check back at 1700 to see if I could get the bed I reserved … instead of waiting and risking not having a place to stay, I found another place in town to stay … I requested a refund for prepayment for the reservation … the facility never responded to my request …

Friendly and helpful staff but very poor amenities, this is not a place to relax

decent simple breakfast with good bread.

There was no warm water and they didn’t warn that there wasn’t any type of soap or towels. The ceiling light was malfunctioning and the vents are noisy throughout the night.
