Wellness Hotel Demänová

Nice location, great breakfast, fine saunas.

Smallish indoor pool, no clear protocols for the sauna and pool area contributed to a loud party atmosphere at the wellness pool. Caution! Upon departure we were asked for $50 per night in additional “taxes”. This contributed to a mark down in value. There was a loud wedding on Saturday until 4 am and the cleanup work went on until 5:30 am.

Unbelievably great dinners. We booked the hotel simply by location / price / amenities and we were delighted to find out there is greatly stocked bar with amazing lemonades, wine and whiskey and rums. All dinners were extra ordinary, borderline fine dining style. Soup, main course and desert. Bar and kitchen staff match a high end 5 star hotel. Small pool with bubbles and steam sauna for kids, Finnish sauna for adults only came in handy in the afternoon, 2 hours included each day. Rooms were nice, ours double bedroom apartment was spacious. Nice amount of storage even for longer stay. Parking right in front of the hotel in a private parking lot, with covered drop off place to load/unload baggage even during rain. Decent selection for breakfast, considering this is a smaller hotel. All meals were very tasty. Beautiful lobby area.

Nit picking: coffee machine tends to create queues during busy mornings.

Very spacious rooms Nice idea of live piano music in the restaurant, unfortunately the guy could play only 4-5 songs on the repeat

1. Heating was not working in the apartment. We have notified the reception about it, a guy came to check, and did not fix it. Totally unacceptable in a 4* facility and the money we have paid. No one from staff came back to check if the problem was fixed or not. 2. We had to wait almost one hour to get our dinner in the restaurant even it was not busy - again, this is not something you would expect in a 4-star location
