Home was immaculate and located within a safe and pleasant neighborhood. Convenient for getting away from the city and a peaceful retreat at the end of the day. Did not get a warm and welcoming feeling from the host however. Responses to questions and concerns that I expressed were short. The furnace took an hour to kick in and begin heating the home with no explanation for why. Thankfully, it began working and warming up. These things would not detour me from staying again however, and I would recommend it to others.

Property was perfect for group. 3 bedrooms for 5 adults allowed for some privacy. 2 full baths on main level also very helpful, just wish the the 3rd bathroom on 2nd floor in the master was a shower instead of the jetted tub. Overall beautiful location about 30 minutes from most of the bourbon trail. We did encounter some issues with outlets, eletrical may require some updating.

My friends and I had a great time seeing the area sites, attending the Derby and touring a few bourbon distillery’s. This house was very clean, spacious enough for 6 adults and perfect location. Also, the house has everything you would need and more. Beds were very comfortable. Definitely will be back.

Family Getaway

Family Getaway

This is a nice area and property in the hills of Kentucky on a lake. Is a community resort with houses/cabins very close together, so not very private if that is what you are looking for. Nice trails nearby at the Taylorsville State Park and some others within a 30-45 min drive. We stayed in house 35 and it was large with 3 bedrooms and 3 baths. Could use some updating on paint and fixtures and furniture but otherwise was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our time away and being unplugged for the week as a family!

We had a wonderful family weekend at this cottage! Loren was very accommodating to all our needs! From early check-in to check-out .. and definitely went above to mail back our daughter's beach towels we left, which we received and thankful for! I did give cleanliness a 4+, as it was very clean to the eye, there still were areas that needed a little more deep cleaning that were overlooked and needed a few extra household supplies, but exactly how it appears in pictures. Beds were very comfortable, enjoyed the hot tub, and a great location to visit many distilleries and small wineries. Beautiful area all around the small, quaint resort! Rented a pontoon boat for a day at the marina, which was 5 minutes or less drive away. Absolutely beautiful! I would highly recommend staying at this cottage!
