About this house rental
This spacious 3 bedroom 2 bath house is located in rural Calhoun County South Carolina, about 8 miles west of Orangeburg. It is convenient to Columbia (40 miles ) or Charleston (about 90 miles). The house is located on the back of our family operated 200 acre working cattle farm. Nestled in the woods on the edge of a 14 acre private pond, the house offers a great escape from daily life. The pond is home to an abundance of wildlife. Enjoy a peaceful day of fishing, swimming, paddling the pond, or simply sit on the covered front porch and take in the view of the pond.

The overall experience was wonderful. We stayed during a holiday weekend and had the best time. The pictures do not do the property justice. Fishing was the highlight for my family. We cooked almost every meal at the property and pots pans and every dish you can need is provided. Mama Kountry Kitchen was 20 mins away and was sooo good.

The owners were very helpful and responsive. The property has everything we needed for our stay. The pond was a little difficult to access but it was very relaxing to have the view and nature surround. The beds were a bit uncomfortable but overall we really enjoyed our stay.

The pond house has a beautiful view. We enjoyed our meals on the deck of the pond. . Did Yoga and meditation on the deck as well.. Fire pit at night was a lot of fun and paddle boats and kayaking the pond was very relaxing. For us city folks the house was modern, beautifully decorated and had all the comforts. The owners payed attention to details and it felt like staying in a 5 star hotel with fresh smelling and luxury linen. We cooked our meals all 3 days and kitchen was well equipped. WiFi was slow and streaming movies was spotty but this forced us to be outside and enjoy nature. Weather was in 6os bugs were not out yet. Congaree National park was 40 mins away where we did the canoe trip and hiking. Visited town of Columbia for dinner near the state house.
