La Dimora 1 Relax in a lovely garden

We dacht eerst een woning geboekt te hebben echter bleek het een appartement met gedeeld zwembad. Dit viel uit eindelijk positief mee. Schoon appartement met privé tuintje inclusief bbq! Verder is er heel veel aandacht geschonken aan de gemeenschappelijke tuin en zwembad. Je zit daar heerlijk in de tuin te genieten van het mooie uitzicht. Je loopt zo het dorpje in. Wij hebben elke dag ontbijt gegeten bij de bakker 200 meter verderop. Je hebt diverse kleine supermarktjes waarvan een klein sparretje om de hoek. Wij waren met twee puber kinderen. Dit kan prima maar het is wel een plek waar je komt voor je rust. Gelukkig was er voor hun goed wifi :)

Dit ligt niet aan de accommodatie maar wij waren met een elektrische auto en wij vonden laden daar dramatisch. In Italië is elektrisch rijden minder populair tov Nederland. Ofwel goed plannen want voorbij Napels is het matig. In het dorp is geen laadpaal. Je moet naar dorpjes beneden maar de snellader bij Sorrento was tot 2 maal toe bezet en er zijn daar weinig normale laadpalen. Dus je moet goed plekken. Een oplossing zou zijn dat ze in dorp een paal zetten of dat de accommodatie een optie biedt om met een normale stekker te laden. Dit is overigens geen kritiek want we hebben het niet gevraagd aan de accommodatie.

This property is a hidden gem in St Agata, we enjoyed every second of being here and cannot wait to return! We stayed 20 minutes out of Sorrento in this town and we loved it so much. The property is surrounded by lovely reasonably priced restaurants, bars, supermarket and a cute bakery down the road! The whole town is so friendly and we enjoyed soaking up the views and the soft music around the villa was an added touch we loved. The pool was great and so much thought was put into meeting guest needs, a little booklet was made with recommendations inside and the host was responsive and there if needed, the rooms were spacious and comfortable, and there were lemons and fruit growing on trees outside, which was beautiful ! We cooked some evenings and enjoyed being in the villa so much because it was so relaxing! Recommending to everyone this amazing place 🥰🍝☀️🫶🏼

Sant Agata is a busy village, with good shops and restaurants, a garage and hotels all on your doorstep. Once inside the garden at La Dimora everything is calm, green and peaceful. Each apartment has its own shady garden area, ours had a barbecue, sink, table and chairs, and couches. It was lovely. In front of the rambling old house was a shared garden with loungers and a beautiful swimming pool. There was another area for dining which could accommodate a big group and beyond that, a stunning view of Vesuvius. The gentleman who met us could not have been kinder and even parked the car for us. The parking is around the back of the property behind electric gates, so if arriving from the Naples direction take the first right and leave the car, walk to the front and use the intercom. The apartment we had was on the ground floor, very cool with vaulted ceilings and I had the feeling it might once have stored food for the house. We both had ensuite bedrooms which were very comfortable. The kitchen was compact with small dining area, but honestly you will probably eat in the garden the outside space is so nice. There was a kind of glassed in veranda which served as a lounge. We were surprised after being in Rome and on the Adriatic coast that there was a cool breeze in the evening, I guess this was due to the altitude and will be a bonus later in the season.

The scooter and motorbike riders are completely insane, my advice is to park up and let someone else do the driving. There are boat trips to Capri and along the coast. There's an agency in the village who will organise everything for you, with a small coach to pick you up just metres from La Dimora and take you to the marina. We went to Positano and Amalfi in a boat with maybe 40 pax and it cost 70 euros door to door.
