The original and largest property at The Lazy Lavender — the Farmhouse is Wimberley`s finest group retreat, masterfully designed for families and friend groups who want room to breathe, gather, and celebrate. Sleeps 6 across three private bedrooms. We welcome one dog — a $95 pet fee applies. Just 45 minutes from Austin and 50 minutes from San Antonio.

Every stay includes our thoughtfully curated starter kit — because arriving to a fully stocked house is part of the experience. Your kit includes: paper towels, toilet paper, kitchen napkins, trash bags, cleaning supplies, toiletries, select snacks, coffee, tea, creamer, sugar, salt, pepper, and olive oil. Cooking utensils, bath towels, and bed linens all provided.
We use organic and sustainable products wherever possible and thoroughly clean and disinfect the Farmhouse between every stay — your group arrives to a fresh, pristine space every time.
Any additional groceries or supplies beyond the starter kit are the responsibility of guests.

The Basics
Guests must be 21+ to book. The Artsy Cabin is a cozy retreat for up to 2 guests — children over 12 months count toward the guest total. Only registered guests are permitted on the property. Visitors are welcome with prior approval — just reach out and we`ll do our best to accommodate. Hosting unregistered guests carries a $100 per night per person fee.
Your Furry Plus-One 🐾
We love dogs! One dog — and one dog only — is welcome at The Artsy Cabin. No cats, no other animals, no exceptions. A $95 flat pet fee applies and must be added during booking. Bringing an unregistered pet or more than one pet results in a $500 fine.
We ask that your dog stays off all furniture and beds. Dogs must be crated when left alone and kept on a leash at all times outdoors. Please bring waste bags — outdoor cleanup by our team will be passed along as an additional charge. Any accidents indoors carry a $300 fee plus replacement costs for damaged items. Excessive shedding cleanup will incur an additional charge.
Traveling with a service dog? Please register them with us before your stay. Service dogs must remain leashed at all times and cannot be left alone in the cabin.

Smoke-Free Zone
The cabin is 100% smoke-free indoors. Any smoking inside carries a minimum $500 cleaning fee. If you smoke outdoors, please take your butts with you — a $50 cleanup fee applies if our team has to collect them.

We had a great time visiting Wimberley and the house was perfect! You couldn’t ask for a better place to stay. Check in was a little glitchy, but the owners got to us immediately and helped us get all the information we needed to get settled in. We would recommend this home to anyone traveling to Wimberley!

Nice 4 night stay. Historic cold which made outside living tough, but a comfortable home. Rural setting, but close to town. Great location for 6 if outdoors is usable but would have been a little tight for an all indoor stay (we had only 4 in our group)

I'll keep this short and sweet-- book this VRBO listing when in Wimberley. My wife and I (and our college-aged daughter, as well as my brother) really enjoyed our stay. Super clean, well furnished and superb attention to detail. This deserves a great review and we're giving them one!
The host had great communication before our stay and during our stay. They really have their A-game going with this VRBO listings. Super impressed.
Thank you for allowing us to stay at your property. We loved the outdoor patio and enjoyed having smores by the fire pit.

The pictures of the property made the rooms look larger than they actually were. There were so many house rules of look but don’t touch, that it became a joke that everything was for your visual interest only. The beds were comfortable but the rest of the furniture was not very uncomfortable to sit in. The patio furniture was a bit tattered. We could have enjoyed the swing but it was too high to be able to get into and swing with your feet touching the floor. I am 5’10” tall so that swing is high. The kitchen was not very well equipped, and needed more kitchen towels and serving and mixing bowls. We did use the wine glasses and dishwasher. We did enjoy the bath tubs and especially the jacuzzi. All in all we felt a little taken advantage of on the price of the house for what we got. We would not stay again. Just too many rules. That’s just my visual opinion.
