Great view and nice cabin! Location is excellent.

The views from the property are amazing. I liked the layout of the cabin and bedrooms. The kitchen floors and dining room floors need repaired badly. They are separating in several places causes a tripping hazard and sharp edges for little feet. The back decks also need repainted and nail pops hammered down. You must wear shoes on the decks. All the bathroom drains were slow, we plunged them ourselves. Two of the toilets ran and you have to jiggle the handle to get them to flush. The hot tub lid is water logged and very old making it very difficult to remove and replace. We had a great time, and the cabin would be amazing with some attention to detail and Maintenace.

We used this cabin as a meeting point with our young adult children. The kitchen was well stocked to make a Thanksgiving meal. The bedroom layouts allowed almost all to have their own room and the room with the bunks was large enough for two adult males to share. They enjoyed the pool table, arcade, hot tub, and large TV screens. The view was spectacular. Parking was flat and it was easy access to the Parkway.

Pros:The view of the Smoky Mountains was absolutely beautiful, and the air conditioning worked great—both made the stay more comfortable.Cons:Unfortunately, the cabin had a number of issues. Many things were in disrepair or outdated. The Xplorie “free” benefits were misleading and not worth the mention. The gas grill was so loose it felt unsafe to use, so we didn’t. One of the more serious concerns was the flooring around the basement tub/shower—it was soft and spongy, likely from water damage. The cabin itself felt very dated, and every mattress was noisy and uncomfortable, with a plastic-like covering. After arriving, we were surprised to learn that none of the Bear Camp cabins have ice makers—something that would’ve been helpful to know ahead of time. We also couldn't unlock the door leading directly to the hot tub. On top of that, the bath towels provided were very thin and small, and the lighting throughout the cabin was poor, with several fixtures either flickering or not working at all.
