Blue Ridge Heaven is located at an elevation of 3,850 feet atop Devils Knob – the highest point at Wintergreen Resort in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Enjoy the best views in central Virginia from one of three decks or many picture windows. Blue Ridge Heaven offers the best mountain, valley, and long-range southern views of any Wintergreen home on the rental market, yet is just minutes from the ski slopes, hiking trails, Appalachian Trail, Blue Ridge Parkway, and breweries/wineries/cideries on Route 151.
Blue Ridge Heaven was extensively renovated in 2020 with a totally updated kitchen, and new heating & air conditioning, appliances, furnishings, flooring, paint and lighting throughout. Renovations were made to maximize energy efficiency, use of sustainable materials, and purchase of locally or regionally produced products where practical. The home’s bathrooms were newly renovated in May 2025.
Enjoy cathedral ceilings throughout the upper level, which includes a large family room with a stone fireplace and 65-inch Samsung smart TV, kitchen, half bath, and a primary bedroom with its own bathroom. The well-stocked kitchen features quartz countertops, a large quartzite island with four bar stools, LG and Bosch appliances, and an adjacent dining area with a dining table with seating for eight. There is a propane gas grill on the deck by the kitchen. A laundry room and half bath are also on the upper level.
The lower level includes another primary bedroom with its own bathroom, 3 other bedrooms (including a bunk room), and a second family room with stone fireplace and 55-inch Samsung smart TV. A second full bathroom is located on the lower level.
Note - There are about 25 stairs down from the driveway to the entrance.
Wintergreen Resort is a four-season destination located on 11,000 acres in the Blue Ridge Mountains adjacent to the Blue Ridge Parkway and Appalachian Trail. Washingtonian Magazine named Wintergreen Resort the top ski resort in the Mid-Atlantic Region. Within the Wintergreen property you will have access to over 30 miles of hiking trails, skiing, and other activities, including golf at the Stoney Creek valley course. During the summer, you will have access to two outdoor pools and Lake Monocan (except on Saturdays). Note that some activities are open to Wintergreen Club members only, including the Devils Knob golf course, the Spa, and fitness center.
Blue Ridge Heaven makes a convenient home base for exploring central Virginia, including nearby Sherando Lake, Crabtree Falls, Monticello and the University of Virginia campus in Charlottesville, and of course the variety of breweries (www.brewridgetrail.com), wineries, cideries, and distilleries clustered along Route 151 in the Rockfish Valley.
