Casona Belga Hotel y Restaurante

Lugar súper acogedor, cómodo, limpio y con excelente atención; con todo lo necesario para descansar. Cabe destacar que nuestra barcaza llegó a las 22:00 horas y se quedaron esperándonos, no solo recepción sino que estaban dispuestos a darnos de comer a esa hora.

Por la construcción del hotel ( madera) se escucha todo , si eres sensible al ruido esto puede llegar a ser molesto. Cabe destacar que en general desde las 10/11 pm ya no se siente ruido, hasta primeras horas de la mañana que la gente empieza a partir su día.

The place is well taken care of, Chile Chico is a charming village.

The owner refused to give us the discount of local taxes that is due to foreigners visitors. We insisted, but the lady in charge argued our immigration document said we were coming to a conference, not as tourists. Considering the behavior os the lady, this sounded more an excuse than a real reason: 1) She did not offer the VAT reduction due to foreigners, just charged the amount that Booking described as full, including taxes 2) When told about the VAT exemption, after we showed our documents, she refuse to make the discount. 3) We stayed in 6 different places during that trip in Chilean Patagonia. Casona Belga was the only one that overcharged the VAT, all the other places took a copy of our immigration cards and made the reduction. It is a pity, because we left with a bad impression of what otherwise would have been a nice staying.
