If you are lucky enough to find Carmen and Manuel's cottage available, book it immediately! My husband and I stayed here and wish we could give it 100 stars. From the moment we arrived Carmen greeted us warmly and made us feel at home. Even though we do not speak Spanish, she introduced us to the cottage easily and we felt so welcome and special. The cottage itself is next door to but detached from the main house. It is very old stone, but on the inside it is renovated with all modern comforts. You feel special just being inside because of the beautiful architecture, hardware, and design. We stayed in late July and although there is no A/C the cottage stayed very cool. I loved the big shower and rain style shower head. The outdoor sitting areas were our favorite way to spend the evenings. There is a BBQ/fireplace that Carmen let us use and even provided charcoal/firewood. The surrounding area is peaceful and completely silent at night. And with our car we drove to the "Coast of Death" for several beautiful coastal hikes. There's is a grocery store within a 5 minute drive, and the bread delivery comes to the cottage daily. I wish I could have stayed for a month or more. Carmen and Manuel have a special place in my heart and I am certain you will feel the same.

Beautiful interior and exterior. Carmen went above and beyond as a host, providing a welcome basket, with an assortment of foods and a bottle of wine to welcome us. very lovely decorated apartment, the perfect size for my partner and I, and an additional bed we didn’t need for a child or extra guest.
The apartment was very clean with lists of soft towels and extra blankets for our stay.
Lots of room to park the rental car.
Carmen was a brilliant host, although there was a bit of a language barrier we still I stood each other very well and she wrote down places nearby to visit and recommended areas with excellent restaurants! It was always a joy to see Carmen and her family on the property as they were so helpful and kind. She baked us an apple pie on our last full day which was delicious!
couldn’t recommend this place more- a very special place in Galicia to stay.
Couldn’t fault anything! You will need to hire a car if you stay here but we loved exploring the wider area :)
