A lovely apartment, amazing value, perfect host.

My husband and I were hiking the Via Alpina and this was one of the best properties that we stayed at. Anuschka was our amazing host. She was super easy to communicate with via messaging and she met us when we arrived. She helped us with our laundry, gave us some lovely treats to eat, then went above and beyond by giving us a driving tour of Adelboden and dropping us off at the COOP to get groceries. For morning she provided us with a lovely breakfast and answered all of our questions. Her apartment was clean and bright with amazing views and just a short detour from the Via Alpina. Anuschka made our experience so much more special. We can't thank her enough!!

Comfortable apartment at a great price

Spacious, clean, modern ground floor apartment with good parking. Good kitchen facilities. Super powerful shower which was appreciated after a long day in the mountains. Out of the town centre but easy to find and only 5 minutes from a supermarket. Very friendly and helpful owner.

Everything was perfect, however while some basic kitchen amenities like salt, pepper, etc were available, we would have also appreciated some tea and/or coffee, given the kettle and Nespresso machine.

A bargain in this lovely location.

Lovely, modern space and super location in this lovely town. Great host. Well equipped kitchen.

It is a fabulous space for 2 people. As a family of 4 with teenage boys it was an absolute bargain, but a bit of a squeeze. My husband and I took the sofa bed since it was very squeaky (but not terribly uncomfortable). Note that there is no microwave, and the washing machine and drier are the owner’s (although she did kindly let me use them).

AMAZING location, great apartment, nice host

Adelboden was a truly discovery for us, it was much more nicer valley than the neighboring well known onces (Lauterbrunnen, Grindelwald etc.) The apartment has very nice location close to a stream where you can do 1-2 hours walk with family. Its also close to the center, close by bakery and has got parking space in the garage. The host was very nice lady who check-in on us to ensure everything was Ok.

Their were no instruction for the window blinds, we only discovered them on the last day of the stay!

Exceptional

This place is excellent! Anushka was very nice and helpful! The location is almost magical. The view is unbeatable—plenty of activities to do, hiking, mountain biking or simply sitting on the terrace, enjoying the view. The house is newly renovated, warm and cosy. The kitchen is fully equipped, and you can even make fondue! As a family, we'll talk about this for a long time!

Nice Relaxing Stay In a Remote Romantic Beautiful Swiss Village

The village is very beautiful and scenic. The property location is awesome. We went there in late October and could see both rocky mountains and snow capped mountains from our rooms. The host is very helpful, friendly and nice. You can easily go for a romantic walk just around the village. The nearest train station is Frutigen and then you take bus 230(direction: Adelboden Post) and in 20 minutes you reach Adelboden Oye bus stop. From there you can take bus 232 OR 235 to reach the property(2 stop, stop name: Falkiport) in another 5 minutes. Otherwise you can also walk from Adelboden Oye bus stop for nearly 1.5 km to reach the property, but please remember it's an uphill walk. So it might be tiring, but the scenic beauty is mind-blowing.

Nothing. As the village is very remote so don't expect to get lot of restaurants. There is a small super market near the property. But everything remains closed on Sunday. The property has a good kitchen, so better you buy some groceries(before Sunday) and cook in your apartment. The host is very nice and friendly. She helped us by providing Pasta(for free) to cook on Sunday, as the shops were closed and we couldn't order food online due to remote location. She even baked a beautiful strawberry cake for us which we really loved!

Comfortable, convenient and totally relaxing in a quiet beautiful spot.

The apartment was on the ground floor and had lovely views and felt bright and spacious. It was very conveniently located for the sightseeing in beautiful Adelboden, but a little bit of a walk up to the village (which we expected). However, there was a great little convenience store close by which sold most essentials. Our Hostess having left us to settle in the previous afternoon, came to meet us the next day and was very helpful and lovely, asking if there was anything we needed and was everything okay...it was. We were very comfortable and warm and had everything we required for our two night stay. It was a well fitted out and modern apartment with classy fixtures and fittings (apart from the bathroom where the door handle kept falling off but that was minor). We would certainly stay there again if we visited this lovely village again. I totally recommend this place for two people. Cherry & Roger

First and foremost that it was not a party hostel and that there were no issues with noise and sleeping at night Place was sparkling clean (also as a result of the no shoes policy - bring slippers !!!) Rooms were warm, decent storage room, bed comfy enough The view was very nice all around Bathrooms enough so that we didn't have to wait

The common area could have been nicer, it was basically just a dinning room with tables and chairs, plus an outside area (which was quite nice) Those shower heads were more like 3-point sprinklers

Amazing hosts in a simple, yet practical flat.

The hosts were so accommodating. We fell ill through most of our stay, but they kept checking in on us, brought toys and games for the kids or tea for the adults. How lovely! The flat as such is cute, but I wouldn't recommend more than two adults. The kitchen is fully stacked with enough pans, plates, etc. No dishwasher, however.

Depending on what you want to do, the location might not be ideal for you. Great to get to Engstligenalp and the mountains, but a bit far from the village center. There isn't much soundproofing, and curtains are missing (it's a ground-level flat), so privacy is minimal.

Welcoming host. I arrived early and on a Sunday and she plied me with a drink, cake and foodstuffs as the local supermarket was closed. The apartment is modern clean and spacious and there's a bus to Adelboden proper almost at your door. Well placed for other walks.

Neat modern warm flat with stunning views!

We arrived at 15:00 hrs and Anuschka was in the flat, still cleaning, she wanted to make it really clean for us she said. Whilst waiting we sat just outside on the chairs provided and admired the stunning views (which is something we did every morning with our cups of coffee). Anuschka is very bubbly, friendly, approachable and most helpful, she does speak some English. When we realised that our adapter for the sockets didn't work she went out and got the correct one! The flat is warm (underfloor heating) and very neat with some walls clad in wood. The beds are very comfortable, the area and the house very quiet except for the odd footsteps above. We knew that there wouldn't be a TV so that wasn't a surprise. Parking is perfect, right next to the flat, under cover. We found it's best to reverse into the space. There is a well-stocked shop plus a bakery just around the corner within easy walking distance. You can get capsules there for the coffee machine too. The village itself is about 5km away so you would probably want to take the car or go there by bus. We hope Anuschka won't mind us making a few suggestions here which would so easily take this flat to another level. It would be helpful to have some scatter cushions to make the sofa more comfortable; net/voile curtains in the bedroom for privacy and coziness especially when the shutter is open; a few Swiss themed pictures, particularly on the blank wall over the kitchen area which one looks at from the sofa; better light, towel rails and hooks in the shower room; and a doormat. Adelboden is a fantastic area at any time of the year; we really enjoyed our stay in this lovely flat and can recommend it.

Small apartment in a fantastic location! Perfect for a few days in the mountains :)

The location was brilliant and the apartment came with many things in the kitchen that was great. It was also very clean!

A coffee machine was provided but there weren't enough coffee pods provided for the number of guests or days so we ended up not using it. The sofa bed was a bit cumbersome to open and close daily (not super comfortable as a sofa also). A lot of spices/condiments were provided but some of them were almost empty so these should be topped up. Soap and washing up liquid were provided but not shower gel or shampoo.
