About this cabin rental

JungFrau Cabin, Colorado River Front, Easy Access, Secluded, Cozy Rustic Family Cabin

The JungFrau Cabin is a great family oriented cabin located within the Arapahoe National forest at an elevation of 8700’. It is near the towns of Empire, Georgetown and Silver Plume and only 22 miles to Winter Park and 22 miles to Loveland ski area. The cabin is easily reached by driving 1/4 mile off highway 40 on a very smooth, accessible, scenic road that passes beneath gorgeous aspens and pines. This road is plowed throughout the winter, and the cabin is easily accessed year round. You will need front wheel drive or better in winter months. There is a level parking area adjacent to cabin. The JungFrau Cabin rests graciously on a tributary of Clear Creek river on what was once the original 1870’s wagon trail over Berthoud Pass.

This little cabin was a great base camp for exploring the surrounding beauty of Colorado. It's easy to access from the highway, but secluded enough and surrounded by a roaring creek to make you feel like you're alone in nature. It's modern enough to be extremely cozy and comfortable, but quaint enough to make you feel disconnected from the world for a few days. The cabin had everything we needed, including plenty of fun board games and toys to keep the family entertained on a rainy afternoon. If you're looking to explore the historic town of Georgetown, head up to Keystone, or get in some serious hiking in the surrounding 14ers, this cabin is a perfect place to stay.

This is a gem. Located next to a stream and easy to access, but seems like you are in the middle of no where. Thank you for allowing us to share this great place.

This property was perfect for our needs for a week of skiing. Very close to Loveland and A Basin. The cabin was clean, spacious, and had comfortable beds and pillows. The check in and checkout process was clear and simple and the property owner was very easy to work with. I would surely recommend staying here!
