as cyclists, having a complete apartment with washing/drying machine was a great bonus. because we had 2 nights it meant we had room and freedom to relax in the accommodation. The food we had was great genuine homemade Cretan meals, and the family who own and run the complex treated us like family. The location is ideal for both types of visitors; those who want the tourist venues associated with the Cave of Zeus and those who want to use the mountain landscape for activities.
Because it was late Autumn, the restaurant opening hours were shorter, but I completely understand this as practical and to give the family and staff some relief from the busy days and Summer.
