Clean and good location and reasonable price
Duplex room was dark and felt like a cupboard. Usually stay in the standard or family rooms and they are much nicer.

Central position and mostly quiet at night. Spacious and thoughtfully decorated in original style. Very comfortable beds and bedding.
Very little apart from a distant and charmless lady on reception on arrival. On leaving a different lady could not have been more pleasant

Really lovely duplex room, comfy bed, good selection of tea, coffees and hot chocolate, great location.
Apart from no hotel parking, nothing.
NCP car park nearby is £12 for 24 hours so not too bad!

The hotel’s atmosphere and design are great but the restaurant is under-sold and should be a key feature.

Very central location. Staff helpful and friendly. Room ready when we arrived early and booked in straight away. Love the 1950’s vibe and the connection to the telegraph newspaper.

This is one of my favourite hotels in the Midlands, in fact the UK. Spacious rooms and the attention to detail on the buildings history is great.

Breakfast was good. The location is handy for the theatre and precinct.
Great bar.
Hotel needs its own secure parking. I travelled by train so it was perfect.
If I was bringing the car I wouldn't stay there, which is a shame as otherwise it's brilliant.

Suite was lovely, check in a bit below standard. Weren’t even told what the WiFi was or any other useful information. Was just ‘here’s your keycard bye’. But not event of the world. We figured things out in our own but would have been better experience with some additional info / help.
The room itself was amazing but it was a suite and one of the most expensive. Private hottub terrace was the best part. Fridge wasn’t cold, it kept things just above room temp but deffo didn’t chill a bottle of wine even after being in it for hours but again, not the end of the word.

The building is interesting and the room big. Comfy bed.
It's quite a walk from the station and parking costs £12 overnight at the NCP. The shower in the room turned off but then started dripping some time later. View from room wasn't great and there was rubbish on the roof. Only melon in the prepared fruit selection at breakfast. Just a bit disappointing particularly as I had heard it was excellent.

The retained features of the original building are great. It’s easy to get to as well.
I have been coming here since it opened and it is great to see the standards maintained.
Took a bit of time to master the heating in the room!

Very good confirmation when ordering, very kindly arrange some small treats for our daughter and a 'Good Luck' message to be left for her ahead of a competition she was competing in. Very welcoming staff, lovely big room - very clean and comfortable. Bit of noise from the main road but we knew we were in the centre of the city and it didn't keep us from sleeping. Very good check in and check out times, later than most places. We didn't get much time in the hotel but the bar and restaurant looked great and if we come back to Coventry we will be sure to stay again and try those as well.
I would say extra coffee (not decaf) in the room as well as additional milks and perhaps biscuits - tea tray felt a little 'sad' but fine not major points to feed back on.

Staff were very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly, room was comfortable and clean, and the location was perfect for seeing the city.
If I go back to Coventry, I'll stay here again.
My duplex room was over 2 floors, and whilst the bed was upstairs, the wardrobe was downstairs. A minor inconvenience, but not a major issue.

Wasn’t get to, good location for our event, room was a good size, bathroom shower was divine with a rainfall head and handheld which could be used at the same time and was the same temperature, the bed was comfortable and while we were in a room next to the road it didn’t bother us at all.
Parking was a bit of a nightmare and shame it was so expensive in the NCP, coffee facilities in the room were all Nestle brand so had to go buy a different brand (but that’s personal preference). While the location is good for the city centre the outside area was pretty rough at night and wouldn’t recommend women walking around solo of an evening, but that was for the whole of Coventry.

I didn’t personally like the smell of the shower gel.

Unique hotel in central Coventry. Lots of history, well appointed rooms great shower, friendly staff. Breakfast is good quality. Bar area is excellent for meeting friends/colleagues etc.
Room 21 has a smart (indoor) patio with a table and chairs which can be accessed from a French window in the room. Other nearby rooms have a similar set-up.The patio however is actually still in the building as it is a covered area. Although it is smart, I can't think of a reason why I would want to use it as there is no extra fresh air or sunshine involved etc.

Having lived in Coventry some decades ago it was fascinating to see the conversion of the old newspaper offices. They’ve done a great job.
A lift up as well as stylish stairs.
Spacious rooms with decor that is both modern but in keeping with the newspaper era.
Good sized en-suite shower room.
Very comfortable large bed. Good lighting arrangement.
A buffet breakfast with options to suit every taste.
The central location made it easy to visit all the city centre sights - cathedrals, church, art gallery, canal basin, museums. Bus station was also nearby for easy travelling to other parts of town.
It was a slight nuisance having to park elsewhere but the NCP car park is only a short distance across the road and not at all expensive for a 24 hour period.

Love the newspaper theme - it’s been so well done and was very nostalgic for me because of family links to the industry. It’s a good location and the breakfast was excellent and reasonably priced.

The Reception staff were very friendly & helpful.
The instructions for regulating the heating weren't in the room so I initially struggled to set the temperature to a comfortable level.

It was a very stylish hotel, with interesting features throughout. My room was big and well decorated and furnished. There was a lot of attention to detail, with bespoke artwork and crockery. The bathroom was very smart with a great shower. Their breakfast was very good. The hotel was close to the town centre, and not too far from the station.
It was on a busy street, so was a bit noisy at times. The tv didn’t have many channels.

Nice size room with fantastic bed.
Unfortunately the room had an unpleasant smell on arrival and the towel rail didn’t work. It was difficult to change the temperature of the room and it would have benefitted from Netflix.

The Telegraph is an a wonderful example of what an intelligent building and business conversion can be. It retains and celebrates the second half of the 20c while confidently using the levels of comfort and understated luxury of today. The price is usually quite reasonable for this level of comfort. The restaurant / bar / foyer are great too - simple and good.
There could be more secondary lighting options in the rooms - stand alone lamps. Also more coffee pod for the nespresso machine. But there is oat milk, which is great
