A peaceful place to stay

A nice and peaceful place at the river. We arrived a bit later and took the small speedboat there, pickup was incredibly well arranged. The house was clean and comfortable and it was nice to eat at the restaurant. Overall a great experience and would reccomend.

Breakfast was also nice, but they did not offer us any drinks (perhaps we needed to order that seperately).

A wonderful retreat surrounded by nature.

An outstanding stay! This resort is the perfect retreat to recharge and reconnect with nature. We stayed in the villas on the lower slope, which offered stunning views of the valleys and helped us truly step away from our busy lives

INCREDIBLE EXPERIENCE

Incredible location, clean, peaceful, amazing food. Hosts organised all our transport and ferry tickets, very easy to navigate. We checked in, put bags in our cabin, and got back on the boat to go to shala river.

The lights outside the cabins stayed on all night and were extremely bright through the curtains. The power cut out in the night so we lost air con which isn’t a huge deal but there was only doors no windows to open when it was hot.

Fantastic location on a Komani stopover

Extraordinary location with more than fantastic views of Komani lake. The houses are spacious and with a perfect rustic but yet splendid standard. The lawn is a nice place to hang out as well. I stayed one night and then onto Shala river which was very convenient since there is a daily morning boat there. The restaurant served me a very delicious dinner with large portions which can be enjoyed from the terrace. Great breakfast as well.

This does not take away anything from that this is a very great place but somehow some of the restaurant staff seem to think you were in the way of them and gave a very bored and tired impressenion. I spent 19 days in Albania this summer and almost everywhere the people were very welcoming and warm trying to tend to your needs and beyond. That was not the case here. You almost refrained from asking them and I hope i caught them on a bad day. They were nice but something wasn´t welcoming. The guy arranging the boats were great though!

Soulless commercial hotel , not what we booked !

Nothing , it was terrible

This is mis-sold. It is a lovely commercially ran hotel, if that is what you are after, but we booked a lodge and dining with the hosts at their house. Things have obviously moved on (and good luck to them), but we didn’t book a soulless hotel.

“The hotel is in a wonderful location by the lake, the views are stunning, and the wooden cabin where we stayed was very well equipped, clean, and full of charm. Everything was very clean and in good condition.”

“We didn’t like that the restaurant offers very few food options. They have a menu for meals, but no snacks at all (no chips, nuts, ice cream, cookies, etc.), so if you don’t bring anything yourself, there’s no option other than sitting down for a full meal at the restaurant. On the other hand, the kayak service is not well managed. They charge €10 per person, but no one helps you with the kayak, life jackets, etc. — you have to do everything yourself. We believe the hotel is in a wonderful location, but the service could be greatly improved.”

Beautiful place, but for 1-2 night max

Clean, spacious room with an air-conditioning

There is nothing in the surroundings, so you are dependent on the hotel restaurant, no possibility to buy lunch/picknick to take with you. The fridge is very small for bottles of 1,5-2 l. We left one day earlier because of lack of activities and very warm weather

Great two nights in paradise in the Albanian mountains. Wouldn’t hesitate to return.

The accommodation and the guesthouse were fantastic. There was a great range of food and drinks available for lunch and dinner. The staff were young and inexperienced, but generally very friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome.

It would be good if there were parasols or umbrellas for relaxing under during the day. Temperatures were 33°+ and some shade would have been great during the day.

Overall, a fantastic experience and we would definitely recommend it.

We had a lovely stay at 5 Stinet! The food was absolutely amazing, truly delicious, and the restaurant itself was beautifully designed and very cozy. The whole place was clean and well-maintained, and the atmosphere was wonderfully quiet, perfect for relaxing. We especially enjoyed the stunning view of the mountains. The service was of a high standard and very professional. Transport from Shkoder to Koman and then to 5 Stinet went smoothly, and the return trip was just as easy (Ferry Berisha).

The outdoor activities offered were great, but only if the weather plays along. Unfortunately, it rained heavily on one of the two days we stayed, which limited what we could do. It would be great if the restaurant could offer some indoor options like board games to borrow or rent, or perhaps suggest some rainy-day alternatives. The bathroom had an unpleasant smell, which probably came from the pipes, and the TV didn’t work. There's no mobile network, which is understandable given the remote mountain location, but the Wi-Fi worked well.

A peaceful and refreshing escape with great food, beautiful nature, and all the comforts of home.

The location is amazing—a perfect getaway from the noise and stress of the city. The food is absolutely delicious, made with fresh, locally grown, and organic ingredients. Everything tasted so fresh and authentic. The villa was spotless and well-equipped with all the amenities we needed. A truly relaxing and enjoyable stay!

Amazing experience

Everything was perfect. The villa was very cosy, clean, nicely furnished, you had everything you needed. The surrounding is just like in the photos, wonderful nature, with breathtaking view of the lake. The staff was very kind, friendly, and helpful. They did their best to make you feel comfortable and enjoy your vacation. We have been other times in Koman, but every stay lacked something in food, or communcation, or conditions. 5 stinet was really surprising. Would definitely come back.

5 Stinet is in a stunning location on Komani Lake. You will watch the sunset gleam off of rocky cliffs and wake up to amazing views up and down the river. Spend a couple nights so you have time to kayak or hike in the area or just relax and read a book in one of the most beautiful places you can visit.

Some work to be done, the view is amazing though.

Staff is friendly, helpful and reachable. Communication before arrival was important and went fluently. Staff will often find solutions when needed. Beds were comfortable and the shower was in great condition. Last but not least, the location is as advertised with amazing views.

Broken wooden couch was left outside in our garden, instead of taking that out. Wi-Fi reach was very poor, I could only connect from my laptop, we often went upstairs to get a better connection. The toilet didn't work on arrival, this was luckily fixed quickly. There were no towels present (but we had our own). Dinner was always at 8PM, which is late if you have plans the next morning. You'll notice that people passing by (either doing the 1 day tour or just passing by for the restaurant with a view) get priority, because they will get food and drinks on arrival before you get yours. One day, when there were about 50 visitors for the restaurant, they forgot to take our order for lunch. I went upstairs to make sure we got to order a lunch, but they still forgot to make the lunch and get back to us (forgetting is human though). When I went upstairs again 1h30m after lunch time (2:30PM) they appologised and told me they will take care of it. It took another 45m (3:15PM) before I received my lunch very cold and without drinks... Within tourism, it is expected when mistakes are made that you'll get something more out of it, but this time I just received cold food without drinks when I was expecting additional drinks for free. I think you need to set your expectations right, that you're staying in a country that isn't used to serve tourists. Also note that you're paying more for services (meals, drinks, boats) than you would in the Shkoder city...

This is a lovely spot on the lake. The food was plentiful and the family running it were lovely. Instructions on getting to the villas were clear and sent well in advance.

Trying to figure out how to get the keys on arrival wasn't easy but we got there in the end. The grass at the front of the villas was overgrown which was a shame. It would have been nice to lay on the grass and get some sun.

Stunning lake side location

The location was amazing and the boat travel was included and all ran smoothly. The staff were lovely and food was all home grown in their kitchen garden. We were able to borrow kayaks for afternoon

Superb

We loved 5 Stinet! Absolutely beautiful location with incredible views. Run by a lovely and welcoming family - they were super invested in our stay and making sure we felt at home. Homemade meals were delicious! And the cabins were comfortable well air conditioned. Highly recommend!

A totally beautiful, scenic stay.

The location is superb for nature views, very isolated, so good if you need to unplug and recharge. The cabins are really beautifully finished and are of a high standard. We definitely appreciated the air conditioner. The staff were all really lovely and accommodating. The family works hard to take care of day trippers and overnight guests. The transfer by ferry was good, as was the food.

As others have commented, it can be a bit difficult to work out how things work. Trying to find staff late afternoon was difficult, so unless you had preplanned every activity, meals and so forth, you were left wondering how to go about, say, hiring a kayak etc. There is an info sheet on the back of the doors to each cabin but when we asked about a boat ride to the Shala River we were quoted 70Euros not the 50 that was printed on the info sheet. Needless to say, we didn't go.

A calm oasis on the edge of the stunning lakes

Unrivalled location on the edge of the stunning lake! The cabins were spotlessly clean and very well appointed, with views out onto the lake! Very friendly and helpful staff who took fantastic care of us during our stay. The food was just delicious, every meal was a real treat with lots of home grown produce and a nice selection of drinks. There is no better location to stay on lake Koman!

There was nothing we didn’t like, however some of the outside lights were very bright at night and in some ways ruined the views out over the lake in the evening. A nice touch would have maybe been some comfortable seating out the front of the cabins or a lounge area.

Relaxing in nature - small peace of heaven

Let's start from the beginning, the owners were really helpful during the reservation process (even when we have some "problems"). Everything has been wrapped up before our coming to 5Stinet - bus from and to Tirana and boat from and to Koman booked. Food was delicious and portions huge (would even say much too big) with a lot of vegetables that was really important as there was no other option to eat something than in the 5Stinet's restaurant. It was nice to eat each meal outside under the roof of grapes. Their wine is very tasty, I would suggest to try it to anyone. Owners arranged a trip to Shala river for us and our international friends we have met there. We have also walked around - there are fantastic places to go for a long walk. Houses were not too big but really cosy and clean with air-conditioner and big windows with a gorgeous views. I am sure we will come back to 5Stinet. We also recommend to anybody to visit that place as it is a small heaven on earth.

Cozy and unique getaway if you want to just sit or kayak while enjoy the view.

We loved all of it - the staff, the view, the little cottage, the food and the kayaking. It a beautiful experience in the middle of Koman lake, with such welcoming and accommodating hosts. A unique stay for us in Albania. We rate this a 12 out of of 10!

Beautiful. A must visit when you explore the north of Albania.

A beautiful little chalet overlooking the beautiful Koman Lake. The property is well kept and the hosted are just too sweet and helpful. The rooms were clean and the room has air conditioners too, since the room gets a little stuffy in peak afternoons. They speak excellent English and helped us to navigate around the place. Our little kid fell ill during the trip but they sweet enough to bring down our lunch and dinner to our rooms, even though it wasnt the norm. The landscape is just just breathtaking. A stay in 5 Stinet is highly recommended, at least for a day, if a trip to North Albania is planned!

As the property is accessible only by boats and ferries, it's better the travelers stock up on all essentials. Especially when you travel with little kids. The property did not have bottled water which made us a little uncomfortable, especially since we were traveling.

Amazing location, fantastic place to stay a couple of days with a very nice host

Food was excellent, the view was stunning, the house was nice and the host super friendly and helpful. We had an excellent stay and would love to come back one day. The quietness of the place and the nature around it were overwhelming, it could not have been better. People were extremely friendly everywhere and the ferry trip to and from the house was fantastic.

Stunning location to end our Albania adventure

Stunning location. The journey with ferry was all organised upon booking (we were a little worried before booking) but as soon as we booked we received all the info about ferry etc and was seamless. kayaks available to hire which was good fun. Friendly hosts who accommodated us well and catered for us as vegetarians. Also lots of cats who were super cute (we were big fan of the cats)

Houses are located in the middle of nowhere. Nature here is amazing! We rent a kayak and spend a few hours on water between enormous rock! We went kayaking to the Shala River - beautiful colour of water! Price includes transport from Koman or Fierze (round trip). House was nice with beautiful view on morning and in the evening.
