Quinta dos 10

The property was even better then described. A perfect place and location for our stay on Sao Miguel. The apartment was spotless and spacious, And the grounds and gardens lined with blooming hydrangeas was magical. Would absolutely recommend staying here for your trip to Sao Miguel!

Quinta dos 10 is the perfect property for relaxation, beauty and privacy. The grounds were impeccable as were the accommodations. Check-in was a breeze, the instructions to access the parking area and apartment were easy to follow, and the staff were friendly. The location was great… away from downtown but close enough to activities. Note some of the surrounding roads are not for the faint-hearted. Make sure to stick to the main roads.

From the very beginning Ana (the host) reached out via WhatsApp with clear instructions on how to access the property, using the facilities, connecting to wifi and the list goes on. Ana was an exceptional host. The property itself was just located outside of the city centre with a grocery store, restaurants, coffee shops a short drive away. I found the property was perfectly located for road trips in any direction on the island. The property itself was also extremely nice! The pool / hot tub were suburb. I am not normally one to use those things but they were used everyday. The ground keepers were out each day maintaining the amenities and property. The stay was honestly amazing and I would stay at Quinta dos 10 again in the future. You might see other reviews talk about dogs barking and while yes, dogs did bark it was not as bad as the reviews made it out to be and you hardly noticed it unless you were outside. You do hear loud “gun shot” bangs but those are ceremonial and can be heard everywhere on the island and you get used to it. This is actually my first 10/10 property rating and for good reason!

I think my only “cons” of the property were that the room was quite humid even with the heater/AC on. My clothing was immediately damp feeling cause of the moisture in the air but it’s also an island in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean so what else would you expect? My other “con” is that I enjoy sleeping with a fan or some noise and it would have been nice if there was a ceiling fan but that’s not really a con as it is what it is!
