Great location. Close to everything, in a calm area surrounded by trees

Once I have paid, they sent me lots of messages pushing me to do an online checkin that requires uploading an ID and paying a deposit.

The chalet looks really nice with a big table in the living room and has a great view. There were some dishes so we could cook dinner.

I did not like the fact that I had to make a pre-payment outside of Booking in case of damage. I contacted the property, and I said that I am not comfortable with that, and that was not mentioned on the property listing. They removed the fee and gave us the code. We did not use the BBQ, but it is the first chalet that states that we have to refill the used gas in case we use the BBQ. The couch extender was broken. I took photos and sent a message to the property.

Everything was amazing just felt at home

The location was good and the dwelling is a good size. it could definitely use some TLC. The railing to the upstairs is not securely fastened to anything. Not very safe for young children to hold onto. the walls in the main floor bathroom are peeling. Could definitely use a fresh coat of paint. The carpet could use a good steam cleaning. The island in the kitchen is also not securely in place. The toilet paper provided was so thin that I had to purchase some better quality for our stay. Not a big deal but why offer something so cheap. There is also no stopper for the tub. When I attempted to play a DVD which resulted in blowing the power bar. There were so many things plugged into that bar. So the internet went down, which didn’t go over well with our kids. It did reset and all was well. However, i didn’t attempt to play a DVD a second time. There is a laminated card that tells you all the things you need to do with regards to garbage and what is expected of the guest. Perhaps they could provide laminated cards with instructions on how to operate certain appliances, such as the stove, oven, DVD player and the main electric heater across from the island. All the others worked fine. That particular one was not heating very well. Over all we enjoyed our stay, but it’s definitely not “ Magnificent”!
