L'accueil de Gérard avec qui il est fort agréable de discuter, ce qui change des conciergeries anonymes proposées ailleurs...
Il nous met à disposition sa maison, nous propose du café dès notre arrivée... Une hospitalité sincère.
La chambre fut calme bien que située à côté d'une rue passante, la literie est de bonne qualité, la salle de bain tout à fait fonctionnelle. Tout est très propre.
Un "chez l'habitant" parfait, le contact humain en plus.
Petit plus, l'établissement "au grand sapin" peut accueillir les cyclistes dans d'excellentes conditions (outillage disponible, douche etc...). Sur la route de St Jacques de Compostelle, c'est une adresse précieuse !

The hostel is run by a friendly helpfully old man. He tried very hard to make my stay a good one. Entrance is through a big roadside door into the garage. Industrial plastic strips divide it from a courtyard garden. Inside it is like stepping back to the 1980’s. There is a kitchen, shared bathroom and small toilet. My bedroom was nice enough. The bed was a bit old, but, clean. I slept well enough. The bathroom is big with a shower over; no curtain. The host provided me with a towel. Toiletries. The breakfast was good; plenty of it. There is a bar, a boulangerie and shop within 100yards.
It is old and I think the host struggles with it. It was clean enough for me; as long as you didn’t look too closely. It is dark and dated. Everything is brown! Brown ceilings, brown tiles, brown furniture! The host has collected a lot of things over the years and they need a lot of dusting! OK for one night if you not too fussy!

"Lovely old chap Gerard= do anything g for you. Great ramshackle garden., and indeed, house. Not chic and modern at all. Had the feeling of a rural farmhouse tbh. My kinda place. Probably not for fussy..."
