An identity crisis between a hostel and hotel, friendly staff, but will not stay again

Not sure what this place is trying to be, a youth hostel or hotel. The floor we were initially put on was full of many children, running riot, totally uncontrolled. Was moved to a different floor. Rooms very basic, only bed and towels, no cups for drinking, no hair dryer, no kettle, no iron, given the very high room rate very basic. Breakfast very simple.

Amazing new, modern hostel, will lots of luxus, fantastic wellness and very delicious food offering. The common areas are great to enjoy time, have a drink, with huge windows and a beautiful view.

The bed linens were too thick/warm, like towel material.

Very Cool, Mordern Hostel that you never have to leave!

Very modern and new. very clean, Great social space and bar. staff were friendly. nice local hikes with the tree top walk only 7 min walk. beds are comfortable and room space was great. lockers with wrist band access. day spa below is a must. I was using the facilities twice a day after snowboarding. The restaurant produces great dinners and variety at breakfast time. Gym was great too!

Favorite place for family & dog stay in LAAX

Fantastic little wellness retreat in LAAX and great starting point for mountain biking, hiking or just to chill around the lake & enjoy the spa/ swimming pool. Food options appear small but the chef will prepare anything if you ask! The brownies are the best!!!

The kitchen is incredible flexible but it would have been nice to see the options on a little menu card with details on the basic offerings (eg chicken nuggets, pasta etc. for kids) for the a la card guests.

Great place, lovely staff. We were positively surprised by the quality of the food for the dinner and the great breakfast. We enjoyed our breakfast on the terrasse with the beautiful view of the mountains, we loved the swimming pool as well and the bar for the evening. Lovely place, we felt great, we will be back.

Nice place to spend a few days and relax with great mountain views and wellness centre to boot

Modern comtemporary building with huge windows allowing an excellent mountain view from all locations. Rooms are very minimalist (glass/wood/concrete), no balconies, but this means you get more light in the room (and no one ever uses a balcony in winter). Bathroom was clean and modern and no TV which I consider a plus. Large bar, canteen and outdoor area all in close proximity with pool table, babyfoot/kicker/table football and some toys for younger children. Spa was fantastic: two saunas, steam room, hot and cold plunge pools, two ice showers, two relaxation areas, all beautifully and simply designed and the 25m pool is also great. Staff were friendly and helpful. Very quiet location with no nearby road or other noise disturbance. Bar/canteen has pretty decent opening hours and the breakfast is adequate. There is a badi a few minutes walk away with a bar/restaurant and playground.

In the room - beds are the weak point, mattress very average, duvet way too hot even with the windows open and the pillows were awfully uncomfortable (I would take my own pillows when visiting again). The sound of footsteps from upstairs occupants can be quite annoying especially if small children are running around. In the canteen - the soup was far too salty, and 7CHF for 'bouillon' is far too high, considering you can select from the salad buffet for 5.50. In the lounge area - the constant music, awful! I am in the mountains to sit and relax, meanwhile whilst drum and bass, drill and god knows what else drone on in the background. Keep it to the bar area only please! In the spa - no outdoor area to relax but this is minor. Parking - why charge 15CHF a day when the car park only a few paces away in the same garage is only 10CHF? This is also a bit annoying when checking out (at 10am) as you cannot leave your car there - but who else will take then spot given that you can't check in until much later in the day, the spa is valid until 13h so why not also the parking? If you don't want to eat in the canteen then you will have to drive, probably to Flims, as there is nothing in Laax as such. Laax in general for anything foodwise is "Zurich prices, not Zurich choice or quality", also why no free lifts in the summer guestcard as is the case with other European mountain resorts? More Laax abzockerei! No kids playground, though there is one a few mins away towards Laax village that can be reached on foot.

The location is amazing! you can do pretty hikes from there, walk to laax village, do the Baumwipfelpfad... The hostel is new and very stylish jj- you cant really call it hostel ;) unfortunately we missed to try the spa area and the cocktails (a pity but we were soooo tired ....) the welcome was superfriendly :) thank you! The breakfast was very nice, the staff at the breakfast superfriendly (which is nice in the mornings). the coffee was brilliantly gooooood! I loved the Birchermüsli and the choices on the buffet! There were even hard boiled eggs, something you wouldnt expect in a hostel... we had the breakfast outside in the sun, which was very relaxing... The rooms were very clean, very new, and the bed was comfy...the rooms with a view are probably very nice (we got one to the back with hill / grassview). The bathroom was small but good... the swimming pool was stunning, we enjoyed it a lot!

Parking 15 CHF per night, and the parking card only valid until 10 o'clock of the day you are leaving (no pre-warning done on this one ...)...to me it seems to be pretty expensive and the lack of communication annoyed both of us! hated the shower curtain ... sticking on me ...

the best hostel I've stayed in before, with great food and great facilities

The spa was very nice, the gym had everything you needed, the lap pool was great. The rooms were nice and the beds were comfortable. The hotel room that I stayed in had a great mountain view and the charging system for my bed was convenient and the storage cubby for my stuff was secure. The meals by the chef were great and affordable, If you stay here pay the extra money for dinners!

The staff were nice and answered the questions you would ask but there were a lot of questions I forgot to ask and ended up having to go back or finding out for myself, I think if there was a full speech with all the info given it would make things better when you get there. I also paid for the spa and was told it was open till 22:30, this was not the case so when I was in there at 21:30 I was approached very aggressively and told I had to leave. When I told the staff that I was told it was open till 22:30 and there must've been a mistake, he shrugged it off and said he was leaving so didn't matter and that I needed to go regardless. Lastly saying talk to the front desk it's their fault. I feel this could've been handled a lot better and it left a sour taste in my mouth until the next night when I made sure I got back early and like I said above it is a really nice spa so I almost forgot about the previous night. We ended up having a full room of 6 people so it was a bit cramped for everyone and they said they weren't that busy so I would've really appreciated when we got to 3 that they would've booked another room but understand that it is a business.

the spa had rule of being naked when you use the facilities ,but I think that’s wrong because we should have a choice if we want to be naked or not as this is a discrimination for some cultures , i think we should all have the right of choice.
