Mediterranean Villa: ocean breezes, walk to beach, serene location.

We stayed a week and loved it. The backyard is simply amazing. The pool, spa, and outdoor fireplace are fun and relaxing. The house has pretty much everything you need and more. My husband is a runner and liked running in the area. We loved the games, toys and books for adults and kids. There are bikes but we didn't get a chance to ride them. The instruction notebook that comes with the house is the best I've. Just one of many helpful items - it includes detailed descriptions of the area beaches so you can pick just the right one. Our group of 10 fit perfectly in the 5 bedrooms. It was so nice that each pair had their own room. We all had privacy - no one was stuck sleeping on sofa sleeper out in a public area of the house. The communication with host was fantastic and responsive. The managers live in an ADU in backyard but they give you complete privacy. We only saw them once, briefly and never heard them. But, it was nice to have them close at hand if we needed anything. We originally booked for 7 people. I needed to add 3 more people and add an extra day. The host quickly accommodated our change. It was a fantastic vacation. We will stay here again!

We had a wonderful stay in Encinitas. The house is lovely and spacious, with amenities that make a vacation seamless. Moreover, our hosts have thought of everything. Beach umbrellas, chairs, sand toys, etc. was ready in waiting, which made for easy excursions to the beach. Check-in and check-out was a breeze - really appreciated their "house guide" which explained remotes, lighting, spa use - you name it. This is the perfect spot for a family reunion, summer getaway, or weekend with friends. Cannot begin to recommend enough.

There aren’t enough superlatives for this place. We had 7 adults and loved the home. The backyard is a vacation place by itself. The hosts were fantastic. I would stay there again in a heartbeat.

We had a great time at this beautiful home! They thought of everything you could possibly need and it was there. Beds were comfy, everything clean and outdoor oasis was spectacular! Located easy walk to Moonlight Beach and the town. Property manager, Claire, was responsive and super sweet. Highly recommend!

We were a group of 9 adults staying in Encinitas for a long weekend. We had a wonderful stay! There is so much to do at the house - it was so relaxing and we rarely left. There was enough room for us to spread out but the living room and kitchen were big enough for us all to hang out together. The hot tub and pool are amazing. It is also just a short walk to downtown Encinitas. We had a wonderful weekend and would definitely stay again!

We loved this house -- large enough for our extended family, convenient location, clean and well furnished interior, and gracious hosts. We arranged for the pool to be heated given the cooler weather, which the hosts accommodated. Communication was easy and straight-forward. Would definitely stay here again!

This was a wonderful home to gather my family for the Thanksgiving! Dinner outside in the sunshine?? Perfect!! Prior to our stay, Anne (the owner) sent me options of places to order our Thanksgiving meal. I appreciated her time in doing that! The home is equipped with everything you need for a week stay. Claire is on-site and responsive to any questions. Ask her about a wonderful place nearby for dinner! :). We enjoyed walking snd riding bikes each day to town and the beach. (We didn’t use them, but the home has lots of beach toys and chairs.) The hot tub was relaxing every evening. Nice area with beautiful views from the upstairs. The house is extremely comfortable, a beautiful space to rest and relax. It has a great layout, which fosters lots of wonderful gathering time both indoors and out, a lovely mix of cozy and spacious. We had many large shared meals (for 9) and were able to find everything we needed (like olive oil and tons of lovely spices). It really felt like home and we are so thrilled we found it. The owners were also extremely responsive and helpful.

Anne and Claire were easy to work with and very helpful during our 4 week rental. House was very comfortable with all needed amenities. The backyard and pool area were a big hit. Will look to stay again in the future.

We loved the house! It was a perfect home during spring break. The kids had a blast in the pool, riding bikes, playing basketball.

Anne's house was amazing! It was very well equipped and outfitted in a high-end way for a relaxing vacation. Communication with Anne and her daughter Claire was effortless and they were very easy to work with. The house is very comfortable and well set up for relaxation with plenty of space and exceptional outdoor spaces. The backyard is beautiful with multiple areas to hang out in. It has a beautiful pool (we didn't use it because it was still a little cool during our March visit) and a great attached hot spa tub, which we used everyday. The kitchen was very well equipped. The location was great as well. The house is in a nice area on a cul-de-sac. The main part of Encinitas is less than a 5 minute drive, with plenty of very good restaurants and coffee places nearby. We would definitely happily come back!

We had a great week long stay here in Encinitas. We had two children ages 11 and 8 and four adults. We were so very comfortable in Anne's home. We had great communication with Anne, the owner, before the trip and with Claire, her daughter, during our stay. We had everything we needed and then some. The beds were super comfortable, the outside sitting areas were so relaxing and wonderful. The pool was a little chilly but the kids did go swimming once or twice. The hot tub was perfect though for all of us. It's a great neighborhood to walk around in, a nearby park. Our only small complaint if we had to find one was that the very high end kitchen appliances seem to be showing their age a bit. They are super nice and easy to use though and we were fine. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a nice family getaway in San Diego. It was so convenient to everywhere we went, and a wonderful home to return back to at night. This was my first experience with the owner/caretaker living on site and I had some reservations about it going in to the week. However, as soon as we got there we could tell that Claire gave us total privacy and was so nice and easy to talk to it was not a issue at all! Thanks for a great stay!!

This was such an incredible home! We stayed here for a week with extended family - the pool and hot tub were a huge hit with our kids. And the home itself was gorgeous - very spacious, comfortable and clean. Anne and Claire were so friendly - they were quick to answer any questions we had throughout our stay. They had great recommendations for local restaurants - and tons of info in a helpful notebook. They were even so thoughtful to have fresh, local coffee for us to brew upon arrival! The neighborhood felt so quiet and safe - very convenient to the shops, restaurants and beaches in Encinitas. We would absolutely love to return soon!

Spacious and luxurious, the Mediterranean Villa had everything our family needed for a wonderfully relaxing week. Its bedrooms comfortably slept all of us with my three granddaughters loving the "bunk room." The kitchen had every appliance and gadget imaginable to meet my son-in-law's exacting cooking standards. The family/TV room easily accommodated our family for movie nights. But the real star of the week was the exceptional outdoor entertainment area. A barbecue-bar center, an under-the-upper-deck seating area, a commodious dining table, an outdoor fireplace seating area behind the hot tub, and a sunning area with recliner lounges all provided different relaxing and conversation areas during those times we were not in the fantastic swimming pool and spa. The pool and its myriad floating toys, basketball goal, and inviting spa remained the center of the week's activities. The adults and children alike enjoyed frolicking with each other, floating on the inflatables, and swimming laps in the sparkling water. Our beach excursions were enhanced by the chairs, beach toys, towels, and other equipment thoughtfully provided by the owners. When we weren't at the pool or the beach, the available bicycles allowed us to explore the neighborhood on leisurely rides. We also occasionally ran short errands using the bicycles. Anne and Claire were most helpful owners. They responded quickly to our questions both before and during our stay. As our family members prepared to depart and go their separate ways on the last day of our stay, we all agreed that this was the best combination of luxury and convenience we have experienced on our annual summer beach vacations. I enthusiastically recommend The Mediterranean Villa for its unique combination of luxury, comfort, and convenience.

This home is stunning both inside and out. The interior is beautifully decorated creating a warm & inviting vibe. The beds & linens are the best. The young children in our group loved sleeping in the bunk beds too. The kitchen contained a great selection of dishes, glasses & cookware along with top of the line appliances. The living space was perfectly arranged for large families both inside and out. The outdoor pool & hot tub were used daily and loved by my entire family. We enjoyed having most of our meals outside along with morning coffee in the seating area near the backyard fireplace. We so enjoyed the beautifully landscaped yard which was totally private along with having a gated driveway. Everything we needed was provided with this great home. The location was perfect, only a few minutes from downtown and the beach. Encinitas is a great beach town with tons of dining options & shops. Both Anne & Claire were the best hosts, easy and quick to communicate with and always available. This was one of our best vacations ever and did not want it to end. We can’t wait to return next year.

This home was very nice. Furnishings and décor comfortable. The kitchen appliances were top of the line, and the kitchen was well stocked with utensils, glasses, dishes etc. We made good use of all of them, including the outdoor grill and bar area.. The outdoor area surrounding the pool and hot tub had lots of seating options for laying in the sun or lounging in the shade under the master balcony deck. There is a very nice table with an umbrella that had seating for 8. This was a great place for eating meals prepared in the kitchen and/or grill area. The pool and hot tub were very nice and well maintained, we used them everyday, as well as the fireplace and seating area by the hot tub. There was a very nice portable ping pong table in the garage that we put in the drive and played many games. Additionally, there is a cabinet in the tv area full of games for kids that kept them busy for hours. The home is a nice walk away from town...coffee shops...and restaurants. The Farmers Market, held on Sundays, is another place to check out. We would definitely rent this home again. The owners were easy to deal with and extremely friendly and helpful during our stay.

It was a lovely stay - the master bedroom and bathroom is gorgeous and there are plenty of places for kids and teens to stay - everyone has a lot of space and privacy. The kitchen is well appointed and great outdoor space for everyone to connect and be together. We would absolutely stay here again!

We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful Encinitas home. The accommodations were extra comfortable and really lovely, and we spent many relaxing hours by the pool and spa. The owners clearly thought of everything we might need to make our stay comfortable and pleasant, including great restaurant recommendations. Also, anytime we had a question it was answered almost immediately. Thank you again!

This is an immaculate home, with every amentity tastefully included! Wonderful layout for a family holiday, with inviting and comfortably appointed communal spaces, as well a many cozy nooks for quiet time. The location was ideal, in a beautiful neighborhood above the beach and charming downtown. There is such an abundance of good dining options nearby (which all offered take out, for our Covid cautious group) that we had a hard time choosing where to eat. 30 minutes from the zoo, 5 minutes from the beach, but such a beautiful home and yard that there was little reason to go anywhere. Quiet and friendly streets great for riding bikes and taking walks. A chef's kitchen and comfortable beds made us feel right at home. Claire & Anne were so easy to work with, and made sure our needs were anticipated and met. We have nothing but compliments for the property, the hosts, and the stay! We'd love to come back again.
