Round Mountain Retreat

Location, location, location! Silver City is the best kept secret in New Mexico, and this mobile home exceeded our expectations. The hosts (Scott and Denise) were amazingly helpful and responded quickly to any questions or queries we put before them. The floor plan of the mobile home was perfect for our needs (our daughter slept on one end while we slept on the other), and there was even a fenced yard (with a dog door) for our two small dogs. The views from the porch were tranquil and inspiring.The house is equipped with a grill and all the items needed for cooking and activities of daily living. (We ran out of propane in the middle of one grill session, and Scott replaced it within minutes.)The home backs up against some wonderfully private trails that we traversed daily. If you stay in Silver City, take time to see a few of the focal points such as the mineral springs, cliff dwellings, Lake Roberts, and the catwalk. (We witnessed deer, cows, Gilas, and even javelinas.)If you're in doubt about renting this place, don't be. We loved our stay.

Scott was a wonderful host and made us feel most welcome! He delivered our forwarded mail and helped us with the management of our TV on a couple of occasions. We enjoyed chatting with him too. And yet he made sure we had a sense of privacy. Our accommodations were clean comfortable and fully supplied. Although we had no pets we enjoyed the local wildlife...rabbits and deer.

The space is cozy and clean. Enjoyed waking up to amazing stars and the sound of crickets at night. Scott and Denise were great hosts!

Really enjoyed staying at Round Mountain Retreat. The views of the wildlife are incredible, and easy access to the Gila and other walking trails were awesome. Very quiet and peaceful, and the stars were plentiful. Wish I could have stayed longer.
