Nestled in the bush around a 300m walk to the beach, Grassy Head Schoolhouse is a secluded retreat by the sea. Originally built in 1893 as the Eungai Creek schoolhouse, this home has character and a relaxed charm.

The schoolhouse was a beautiful place to stay. The location was quiet, tranquil, bush setting close to the beach and a short drive into town. The accomodation was clean and so nicely set up. So much attention to detail given by the host to ensure our stay was comfortable. Our only complaint is that our stay was not long enough & we cant wait to return.

The school house provides guests with a tranquil setting in which to relax with bush on all sides of the property. The amenities are excellent and there are many items of comfort to enjoy. It is a winner!

Without doubt, the tranquility of the stay was outstanding! Check in was easy, attention to detail in every aspect makes the stay at the Schoolhouse memorable. There are generous amounts of hospitality scattered in every part of the house , stayers really don’t have to bring a thing to enjoy the stay.

This place is magical. I was there on my own as I had to complete a work project and it was tranquil and relaxing and serene.I came home relaxed and rested (excellent bed) even though i was "working."I would also go again in a heart beat and take family, as it is prefect for a family group. Walking distance from the beach and surrounded by trees, it would be the BEST family holiday.I can not recommend it highly enough.
