Through The Porthole

location was FANTASTIC - we barely got in the car all week as theres so much to do in Falmouth and we could walk to everything. The house is gorgeous, comfy, well thought out, super clean and well equipped. Before we arrived the manager had got in touch to say hi and ask if we needed anything, and she was really fast to respond when I messaged her.

We couldn’t find any faults with the property at all. I was thoroughly sick of Jacobs Ladder by the end of the week though, I think everyone in that part of Falmouth must have buns of steel!

There was a lot to like about this property! It was incredibly clean and had been decorated to a high standard. The enclosed back garden was perfect for our too dogs, and the views were incredible too! The location was fantastic, close to the harbour and Main Street. The allocated parking space was a big bonus too.

Only a couple of minor things. The toilet roll was of poor quality which was in contrast to the luxurious feel of the bathrooms, and the sofas were not the comfiest (the small blue one in particular!).

fabulous sea views from 3 rooms, high spec and beautifully decorated rooms, bathrooms looked virtually new and very stylish. Great to have parking space in centre of Falmouth very close to property. Really good quality beds. Comfortable sitting room with lovely views and well equipped kitchen. We will book again.

The view was stunning from the bedroom windows, we did have to cut back the ivy and the weeds in the garden so we could see the view from the table out side. The decor was ok and the kitchen was well equipped. We received a parking permit to park around the corner from the premises.

The house wasn't as clean as we would have liked and the garden was dirty and overgrown with weeds and ivy. We did end up cutting the ivy/weeds back to see the view. The fake grass was full of soil and needs vacuuming. One of the showers didn't drain well and overflowed when showering. Although very expensive for the area of falmouth All of that i could probably have overlooked. The worst part is the communication with the management company Sykes Cottages. Once booked they don't reply to messages on booking.com it's all automated. You just receive a msg to log into their portal. If you try to call you cannot speak to anyone you receive a text msg again giving you a link to their online portal. Booking.com customer services tried to contact them on my behalf and also got no reply. I would never book a premises managed by this company again.
