Great vacation in the heart of katwijk aan zee

We had a great stay as a new family. The location is perfect with just a few meters to the dunes and beach and the same to the city center. Emmy was super friendly and set up a babybed for us. Parking right in front of the house and that everything is on the ground floor were perfect for travelling with a baby. The house is newly renovated and feels very cosy. Thank you for the great stay!

Perfect Katwijk beach house!

Location was perfect: super near the beach, bus stop, and grocery! The house itself was also very clean and had beautiful interiors for the beach house feel. The hosts were wonderful and easy to communicate with.

Nice

The location is indeed great, less than 200 m to go to the beach. The view is not truly sea view, you can project the sea, but you only see the dunes. The apartment is big enough for 2 people, would accommodate maximum 4 (but a stretch due to only one toilet). By booking the ground floor apartment you get a parking spot on the side of the house which is comfortable. Some nice touches: the tulips and the flower pots, it made the flat alive and homey. Also nice to get some dishwasher pods.

The wardrobe in the main bedroom is old, creaky and smelly - I do understand that perhaps it has a sentimental value for the family but you cannot use it to store any clothes inside. The bed was a a big disappointment, two matrasses and very soft. The couch pillows require an update as well. The toilet is super cold and the water pressure could be increased for a better shower experience.

Das Apartment ist hübsch eingerichtet und sehr sauber. In der Küche sind wichtige Basics wie Gewürze, Marmeladen und Kaffeepads vorhanden und man benutzt diese auch gerne, weil alles top in Ordnung ist. Die Lage zum Strand und zum Ort sind perfekt und der eigene Stellplatz sehr praktisch. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Da mein Knie etwas lädiert war, war ich glücklich über einen barrierefreien Aufenthalt.

Nähe zum Strand und gleichzeitig zum Einkaufszentrum. Separater Raum fūr Strandutensilien. Privater Parkplatz neben dem Eingang. Gut ausgestattete Kūche. Geräumige saubere Wohnung.

Eingangstūr leider kein Sicherheitsschloss, sondern nur ein einfacher Bartschlūssel.

Fantastisch verblijf met alle comfort, fantastische locatie; niet goedkoop maar het is het wel waard!!

De locatie en de ruimte

Aan de voorkant zit geen zonwering waardoor het ‘s avonds echt erg heet wordt; terwijl het hooguit 23 graden was buiten. Dan is het met 30 graden helemaal niet te doen. Verduisteringsrolgordijn zou al veel helpen!

Sehr schöne gut ausgestattete Ferienwohnung in top Lage, Strand und das Stadtzentrum sind in einer Minute zu erreichen. Die Wohnung ist modern eingerichtet und bietet eine schöne kleine Terrasse im Innenhof. In der Küche war eine Grundausstattung mit Gewürzen, Kaffee, Spültabs usw. vorhanden.

Top Lage ebenerdig mit Parkplatz

Es gibt alles, was man braucht und noch ein bisschen mehr. Eine große Auswahl an Marmelade, Peanutbutter und weitere süße Aufstriche für das Frühstück waren vorhanden. Ebenso ein reichhaltiges Gewürzregal und Essig und Öl sowie Kaffeeutensilien. Im Wohnzimmer ist ein großer Smart TV.

Leider gibt es keinen Backofen, aber eine Mikrowelle mit Grillfunktion. Kaffeemaschine ist eine Filtermaschine. Die Matratzen sind ziemlich weich.

Perfekt für den Sommer, fragwürdig im Winter…

EG-Appartement: - kostenfreier Parkplatz direkt vor der Türe - Möglichkeit Fahrräder sicher wegzusperren - unmittelbare Lage zum Strand und zur City und dennoch ruhig gelegen - bequeme Betten

- hellhörig (die Nachbarn waren immer gegenwärtig) - die Heizung regulierte sich pausenlos automatisch auf 10 Grad selbstständig runter (Sommereinstellung?) und die Wohnung kühlte damit schnell stark aus, was den Aufenthalt im November wirklich unangenehm machte - im Innenhof klapperte und quietschte es (Gartentor?) bei stürmischem Wind pausenlos, was es schwer machte nachts in den Schlaf zu finden, da das Schlafzimmer angrenzte

Fürsorglich und liebevoll direkt am Strand

Alles war wunderbar und fürsorglich vorbereitet; Betten, Sitzgelegenheiten sowie das komplette Interieur sind bequem und anspruchsvoll. Pro Person waren zwei Hand- und Badetücher für die Woche vorbereitet, danke sehr! Jedoch: alles, was man darüber hinaus für sein privates Wohl benötigt, muss mitgebracht werden, wie z.B. Tagesdecke, Sitzkissen, Tischdecke o.ä., was ich nachvollziehen kann und auch richtig finde. Es stehen vier Töpfe (jeder mit Deckel) und 1-2 Pfannen für den Induktionsherd zur Verfügung. Danke für alles - auch die Blumen, Tee, Kaffee, Trockentücher, Spüllappen, Müllsäcke, sogar Kinderspielzeug für Sand und Wasser, etc. etc.! Wir würden bei einem erneuten Urlaub in Katwijk aan Zee wieder diese Wohnung bei Emmy & Bert anfragen. Den beiden, die stets promt und fröhlich Auskunft geben, sowie sich nach der Anreise nach dem Befinden ihrer Gäste erkundigen - sind wir leider nicht persönlich begegnet. Ihre nette Putzfee trafen wir bei unserer Abreise.

Es fehlen leider Möglichkeiten, um seine eigenen Mitbringsel für Küche oder Bad zu verstauen, so bleiben sie die Woche über in den Transportboxen. Auch sind zu wenig der guten Teller und des qulitativen Geschirrs vorhanden, um die Spülmaschine effizient für das Spülprogramm voll zu bekommen. Theoretisch kann man mit einem Dietrich in die Wohnung gelangen, weshalb man auf jegliche Wertgegenstände in Katwijk verzichten sollte.
