About this villa rental
Luxury 3 bedroom golf villa with south facing terrace, private pool and stunning uninterrupted views over the fairways of Castro Marim golf course and the Guadiana river, the natural border between Portugal and Spain. The villa offers a superb standard of self-catering accommodation in a peaceful, picturesque setting, with the clubhouse and restaurant only 3 minutes walk away. The villa has 3 bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms in each; 2 on the ground floor and a large master suite with private balcony on the first floor. There is WiFi access throughout the villa. The main living area is spacious and airy and has a fully equipped modern kitchen leading to an open plan dining and lounge area. The lounge area opens to a shaded patio overlooking the pool, with dining table, chairs and a BBQ, perfect for al-fresco dining. The pool terrace has sunbeds and a shower. It also has a lockable gate to ensure that young children cannot gain unsupervised access to the pool. The Villa is the perfect location for a golf or family holiday. The golfers can enjoy the three 9 hole courses that can be played in combination while those looking for a more relaxed holiday can lounge by the private pool. The communal pool and childrens play area is perfect for families, allowing children to make friends and take part in kiddie club activities. A bus is provided to the beach where one can relax and enjoy miles of sandy beach and unspoilt views. The resort's own beach restaurant, O Pescador - which means The Fisherman - is a great place to enjoy some freshly caught fish, for which Portugal is famous. The bus also stops in Vila Real de San Antonio useful if you fancy a drink with lunch or just want to pop to the shops.

A lovely spacious villa with good facilities. Plenty of room for 6 adults. We liked the quietness, but with reception services nearby if required. We have stayed here before & suspect we’ll be back again next year. The host was quick to respond to my queries/issues, and resolved these very swiftly.

Another trip to this villa in Castro Marim, great value for money as plenty of space indoors and out. Very relaxing sitting by the pool, great place to stay when exploring eastern Algarve.

This is a large and enjoyable villa. It is an easy drive to nearby towns for restaurants and sightseeing. The area is quiet and scenic. Next time I will plan to golf on the adjoining nice looking course.The kitchen is well equipped.

We are very fortunate to travel extensively using short-term lets. This should easily have been a 5 star review with a very well laid out and spotless villa, great and well equipped kitchen, bathrooms all high specification, in a location we fell in love with, good pre-arrival communication from the owner and a great outside area which received the sun all day where we were lucky to have 10 consecutive days of beautiful sunshine over the Easter Holidays. With some modest expenditure this may start to warrant the “luxury” claim with somewhat drab fixture & fittings, bed covers, blinds and towel selection which ranged from fairly new to near thread bare and discoloured. A total lack of basic toiletries such as bath gel and shampoo was disappointing enough but to have to buy on day 1 basic cleaning items such as washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets and cleaning cloths (the few that were provided had seen better days) and incredibly even pedal bin bags. 4 small pedal bags were provided for a 10 day stay where no cleaning service was provided. Fortunately did not over distract from a very enjoyable stay and look forward to returning to this lovely area of Portugal at some time in the future.
