Thanks to the convenient onsite parking, you can either leave your vehicle behind and let your feet make short work of the 12-minute walk to Canadian bridge over the Leopold, or easily tackle the 17-minute drive to Hoeke Windmill.

The location was ideal if you wished to experience the Belgian countryside. Sint-Laureins was a short walk/bike ride away as was Eede. In Eede there are nice restaurants and a good bike shop (if repairs are needed). You are 35-40 minutes drive to larger cities. Maldegem is a 15-minute drive with food stores nearby if your stay is extended. The space is nice and we clean. However, if you are 6 feet tall you'll have issues with the upstairs doorway and some of the hanging light fixtures downstairs. If you have difficulties with stairs, then you may want to seek other accommodations. Overall, the host was in communication the whole stay and ensured access to everything was available. I enjoyed my stay!

A lovely home on a canal on a quiet, tree lined country road. So nice to return to after a busy day travelling. Easy drive to Bruges, Ghent and many charming small towns. A little longer drive, but also very easy day trips to historic Ypres, the coast and the Netherlands. A very friendly, welcoming and helpful host. We enjoyed our stay very much.

We hebben een heerlijke vakantie gehad hier. Erg mooi en gezellig ingericht huis. Omgeving is mooi en rustig. Genoeg te doen binnen een korte reisafstand. Saskia is er vriendelijk en gezellig. Kortom voor herhaling vatbaar voor ons.

Sehr schönes, gemütliches und gut ausgestattetes Haus. Ideale Lage, um Städte wie Brugge, Gent, Middelburg und auch die Seebäder an der Küste zu erkunden. Wir hatten unsere Fahrräder dabei und waren begeistert von dem gut ausgebauten Radwegenetz direkt ab dem Ferienhaus. Saskia stand uns für Fragen immer zur Verfügung und hat uns wertvolle Tipps zu Sehenswürdigkeiten in der Region gegeben. Ein rundum gelungener Urlaub!

Ein tolles Urlaubsziel!

Wir hatten eine sehr entspannte Ferienzeit in Saskias wunderschönem Haus. Viel Platz für uns und unsere zwei Jungs. Der Garten mit den vielen liebevoll gestalteten Ecken und Sitzplätzen wurde sehr gerne von uns genutzt. Bei der Ankunft wurden wir herzlich von Saskias Vater empfangen und mit Ausflugstips und Gemüse versorgt! Herzlichen Dank auch nochmal besonders für das tolle Abschiedsgeschenk der Kinder. Danke auch an den Sohn des Hauses, der uns jederzeit mit unseren Fragen weitergeholfen hat und so viel Geduld mit zwei kleinen lärmenden Jungs hatte :-) Wir können das Haus, die Lage und Belgien generell sehr als Urlaubsziel empfehlen!

Sehr nettes, gemütliches Ferienhaus in idyllischer, ländlicher Lage, direkt am kleinen Kanal. Alles ist gut und schnell zu erreichen (Städte, Strände) und in Sint-Laureins kommt man zur Ruhe. Wir hatten eine freundliche, unkomplizierte Kommunikation per Mail mit der Vermieterin, die selber im Urlaub war. Vor Ort haben wir ihren überaus netten Vater kennengelernt, der zusätzlich zu hilfreichen Tips uns mit selbstangebauten Gemüse versorgt hat.

Unser Urlaub in Saskias Haus war wunderschön. Die Unterkunft bietet alles was man braucht und ist so liebevoll eingerichtet. Saskia hat uns sehr herzlich empfangen und betreut. Auch die Lage ist toll. Sehr ländlich und ruhig. Direkt hinter dem hübschen Garten kommt man an einen tollen Weg am Fluss entlang, der zum spazieren und Radfahren einläd. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten findet man im Umkreis von etwa 5-10 km, zum Strand fährt man (je nachdem zu welchem) 30-45 Minuten. Alles in allem haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt und werden bestimmt wieder kommen!!
