Nell'era Covid, essendo alla ricerca di un luogo ameno e che potesse restituirci il senso di una felice comunione con la Natura, abbiamo scelto questa bellissima dimora vicino Castellaneta Marina, ove trascorrere un periodo di vacanza, respirando aria pulita, osservando i mutevoli colori della campagna intorno ed ascoltando solo il silenzio, il fruscio degli alberi, gli uccellini, l'abbaiare curioso del cane di casa. Si tratta, in realtà, di una grande residenza con una storia interessante da raccontare ed i padroni di casa sono gentilissimi, accoglienti e solerti nel risolvere al meglio qualunque problema. Durante la nostra permanenza, dieci giorni in Agosto, ci hanno fatto sentire parte di questa originale narrazione, che si esprime soprattutto nella passione per la pittura, a lungo coltivata in famiglia, così come della fotografia, e nel desiderio di offrire agli ospiti uno spazio perché possano godere del paesaggio, della storia, della tradizione e dell'amore per il bello. Le camere, la grande sala, la vecchia stalla magnificamente trasformata sono ricche di oggetti antichi davvero pregevoli, curati i dettagli ovunque ed allo stesso tempo in grado di soddisfare tutte le attuali esigenze di comodità che ci aspettavamo di trovare, perfino in campagna. Il progetto di rivalutazione è stato a nostro parere realizzato in maniera molto soddisfacente e, se qualche dettaglio minore necessita di ulteriore perfezionamento, la strada intrapresa è quella giusta. La posizione della Masseria, che gode anche di un bellissimo prato antistante la facciata principale, consente infine di esplorare la costa con le sue ampie spiagge e visitare Matera ed i suoi dintorni in breve tempo, dunque di coniugare mare e passeggiate su percorsi per molti versi fuori dalle rotte più pubblicizzate ed affollate della Puglia, scoprendone volti ancora sorprendenti.

Accoglienza calorosa in una casa molto ampia piena di oggetti antichi e autentici della famiglia. Gianlorenzo ci ha fatto visitare il suo museo personale illustrandoci la vita di allora. Fabrizia e suo padre sono stati sempre premurosi indicandoci tutti i luoghi da visitare. Wir wurden sehr herzlich in diesem großen ehemaligen Bauernhof empfangen. Die sehr geräumige und geschmackvolle Wohnung ist voller Antiquitäten. Gianlorenzo hat uns seine Sammlung an alten Geräten gezeigt und uns viel über das Leben in früheren Zeiten erzählt. Fabrizia und ihr Vater gaben uns viele nützliche Tipps, was es in der Umgebung zu besichtigen gibt.
