Quirky and charming cottage!

Brilliant stay, clean and comfy, 20 minutes' drive from Eurotunnel. Perfect.

This was a fantastic little place. Very quirky, very old house - the layout is unusual, with stairs leading in every direction! The beds were the most comfortable we have stayed in during our holidays, and everything was spotlessly clean. Matthew, the host, was exceptionally communicative, messaging to check if we were okay and to ask if we needed anything. His directions and details on how to enter the house were great. He was friendly and helpful, and had good local knowledge. From the house, it took 20 minutes to drive to the Eurotunnel at Calais, so it's a great location. It's in a tiny village, with an AMAZING restaurant (Le Petite Brocante) within walking distance of the house. The road outside was very quiet, it was peaceful and we slept very well. I'm not adding this as a negative, because it doesn't have to be (the house is charming and really interesting!) but I wouldn't recommend you booking if you have young children as the stairs are rather steep and open straight from the second bedroom. My teenager was fine and very happy with his room!

It was quaint and had character. Had what we needed for a place to get our heads down for the night. Beds were comfy.

It was cold when we arrived and we didn’t know until a few days before arrival that we needed to pay extra for towels and bedding. This needed leaving in cash- thankfully we had some left. The bedding was very basic. Pillows were very thin- no spares. Health & safety not great. Fixed stairs to upstairs mezzanine would be a much safer idea.

The property was on 7 different levels. With 5 separate sets of stairs to get to different rooms. The stairs were far too steep to the bed rooms, almost a ladder. No good for older peeps like me - and not suitable for young children. We had to sleep in the living room as couldn’t get up the stairs. Child fell down the steps from the garden.

Quirky and charming. Nice outdoor space and well equipped kitchen. Perfectly clean and located in a nice area.

No door to second bedroom so sound carried throughout the house. The sheet on the double bed was too small so kept coming off during the night. No lock on bathroom door and the door was difficult to close from the inside.

Nous sommes restés 5 jours en famille dans ce logement qui est en plsuqieurs pièces mais les pièces de séjour sont assez

Le sol n’était pas très propre. Nous avons l’habitude de marcher pieds nus dès que nous entrons qq part pour ne pas salir dès le début et nos pieds étaient noirs ! À savoir que les escaliers pour accéder aux chambres sont assez raides surtout pour la chambre avec les lits simples.

Très bien!!

Le logement atypique très sympa! Extrêmement bien équipé! WiFi au top et offre Netflix très apprécié avec un enfant. Communication au top pour l'arrivée et le départ. Des gestes très appréciés à l'arrivée, les lits sont tous faits à l'arrivée et avec des enfants retirer cette préoccupation c'est génial. Bref je recommande et on reviendra sûrement.

Un tout petit bémol, je pensais la mer peut être un peu plus près (à pied) mais ça reste à 5 minutes en voiture donc rien d'insurmontable. Et coccimarket à 7 minutes en voiture même ouvert le dimanche un vrai plus.
